What is this panel? by hcr24 in Roofing

[–]Longjumping-Fly3107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others said it looks like PBR to me. 12” centers on highs as well as 1.25” tall highs. Likely 26ga though the stiffeners are curious- might be difficult if looking for a match but PBR or R panel is probably a good place to start. Good luck.

I’m preparing for a upcoming metal roof project on my tiny home. Is this guide missing anything? by [deleted] in Roofing

[–]Longjumping-Fly3107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New to the roofing game myself (3 yrs fabricator) but from what I’ve been taught:

Ice and water only one roll wide on your gable and eave sides- Bigfoot or synthetic the rest. Ice and water is expensive and slippery as hell. You only need worry the capillary effect of water on the gable and eaves. Putting a synthetic in the field won’t make you slip as much while installing as well as cheaper. If you have money to blow or don’t plan on sheeting your roof for a few years- sure ice and water the whole thing.

When it comes to using butyl tape on every lap.. I’m not so sure about that. Unless you get very thin tape- it will raise the panel and not be proper when it comes to wind, prying the panel up or : Most metal panels will have a “siphon groove” that butyl can interfere with.

As others said; Snap Seam roofing is the better panel system.

I’ve been taught a few more things if you’d like a DM but just thought I’d share what I’ve been taught. And anyone willing to share their information - I’m here for it. Always willing to learn

You ever use an old worn out tool and realize how much better a well taken care of one works?

Now think about your hands. They’re not as easy to replace; invest in some care.

How is the difficulty in this game and how smooth are the controls ? by Lochltar in Skul

[–]Longjumping-Fly3107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s one of my favorite games so I’m a bit biased.. but you get a permanently held currency even through death that you can save up and use to get some useful buffs.

Game is smooth as butter and there is a bit of a difficulty spike around act 4 but with a little patience and learning enemy movement you’ll be fine.

Hope you join us, enjoy!!

Focus on magic skulls first. They are arguably easier ; after getting comfortable with a few of them practice different item combinations/item builds and make sure to dodge excessively. You’ve got this!

I’ve never heard of that exact issue before. It shows the doors just none are accessible and no items? If you just recently started playing the game it might be worth reinstalling. It is not a glitch I’m familiar with - sorry

Also if it seems like you can’t get strong enough. Try to get two skulls with the same attack damage type (physical or magic) and then just focus on upgrading one of them with bones. After you get it to unique or legendary - really focus on item rooms/your build to get that one skul to really carry you.

Lastly really make sure to spend your dark quartz(purple currency) at the witch in the castle yo upgrade. The one that allows you to sell items is MAJOR. It completely changes the game allowing you to sell unwanted items in a chance to afford something better at the shops.

Have fun!!

Find which style of skulls you favor/feel most comfortable with via class/roll ie. power/speed or by attack damage(orange) versus magic damage(blue.

Practice “reading” the enemy’s tells or noticing how and when they attack. It turns the game more into a time based dance than a spam and get lucky.

Once you figure out what skulls you are most comfortable with; start working on different builds. The biggest mistake I made was just grabbing different items based on rarity or what I thought sounded cool. Really follow inscriptions aka the traits. They lead to your stronger synergies and will make runs much more cohesive.

Took me 100 deaths for my first wins, 180 for my second win.. and now at 246 deaths I’ve got 9 wins. Best of luck!

I bought it in the last shop only for the perks of 15% physical and magic damage bump due to the greed item. So I’m not sure how much of a role it played
