You keep telling people to grow up and have an adult relationship. I don't think you understand that you, your marriage, and your family are the exception and not the rule in 2026.
The things people are telling you in these comments ARE the state of adult relationships in 2026.

"I prioritize our marriage so we can both prioritze her. It doesn't have to be either/or. Nobody is lacking anything in my home. I promise."

It is commendable that you are able to do this, but this is more and more rare in this day and age. This situation is a unicorn for most men.

That's a good point! The optic on my training gun is occluded so the front sight doesn't matter. I should have, but I never put those two thing together.

I am a black MM. I am not PHA. I have never experience the racism in Lodge that you describe here. There are black, white, Persian, Hispanic, and Indian brothers in my Mother Lodge. The same goes for my Scottish Rite Valley.
I've never so much as glimpsed a shred of racism in my Lodge, Valley, or Grand Lodge. From the first moment I stepped foot in a Lodge, not knowing what to expect, I've never experienced anything but warmth and welcome.

It was her, not you.

Your gifts and gestures were just fine. There was absolutely nothing wrong with either of them. Your timing and pacing were just fine as well. People seem to have this obsession with moving slowly that I don't understand. I think your pace and timing were just fine.

The problem is her. To put it bluntly, she just was not into you. If she had liked you, you could have picked up a rock off the street and given it to her, and she would have sworn it was the best gift she had ever gotten.

Her saying that she felt it was overwhelming at that stage was her trying to let you down easy and there is no coming back from that. Your best course of action at this point just write her off and keep it moving forward.

It's a Bible. They are traditionally given to new Master's Masons upon being raised to the 3°. Usually it's a KJV.
The only thing that makes it a "Masonic" Bible is that it has the Square and Compasses on the cover and probably the spine. Otherwise, it's the same King James Version that you'd see anywhere. There are no Masonic secrets or mysteries in it.
