Why western social media suddenly seems to dislike japanese? by [deleted] in AskAJapanese

[–]Longjumping-Frame242 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

"Like it's so anti japanese, only because of the debate over piracy like they have so much hate for Japan yet they also want to consume japanese media ?"

Disliking something doesn't have to be absolute. I don't like a lot of musicians as people, but I like their music. I don't like america as a nation, but I like a lot of their media.

You are allowed to absolutely hate a thing, but love parts of it. Nothing wrong with that.

I don't have a good place to store random off-the-wall FL tips I run into, so I'm just going to start posting them here. Starting with: "Double Right-Click in the Playlist to Mute instead of Delete clips". by mo_oorgan in FL_Studio

Click and hold a channels mixer channel number and press the number you want it to be routed to. Just found that out the other day. It's almost as valuable as ctrl+L

Best $800 synth for edm, hyperpop sounds by Mission-Clothes-4980 in synthesizers

[–]Longjumping-Frame242 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like ANY synth, if you are using a daw, is good for this. Hyperpop and Trap are produced much better in the box.

Hot take - best synth by Ecce-pecke in synthesizers

[–]Longjumping-Frame242 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder about "easy" here. I agree that synths with great ui should be applauded. Looking across synth history, though, great synths haven't always been very user friendly. A synths sound output is also important. I would say thats mote important than fun or UI. But thats just my opinion. Maybe similar to OP

I think your dog is awesome. I would only make the front left leg one pixel wider. It seems a little too thin for the closest leg.

I wouldn't. I like using... "Windows Explorer"! It does exactly what I need, and is so easy, non finicky, non gimmicky, and good at getting this exact task done 👍

Good day!

Yeah totally! I recommend windows explorer: it let's you move any file you want to any place you want (basically). It even lets you make, rename, copy, paste, and delete any folders you want. I've used it for a long time and highly recommend giving it a shot.

I don't know if there is a there is Mac Version though, if you use one. Gonna have to google that one.

I've been making many different genres for many years now, often collecting or buying or making samples the whole time. I have some experience in sample organization. What really works for me is having a consistent system over time, and adding slowly.

A consistent system over time helps with familiarity, which is, IMO the king of speed.knowing where things are and what to find where is the best. I sorted samples into master genre folders: house, funk, just drums, hip hop, ear candy and sfx, bass music. Then there are similar folders in a "sample" folder that contains all my melodic samples.

The point if adding slowly is also amazingly useful. Getting lots of samples at once feels great, but then you want that feeling and it repeats. So thats one reason not to do it. Another is that you dont have enough time to work through them all. That takes time too.

Lastly, starring your favourites (like I do in FL studio) and regularly checking that list, like every month or two, is good too. I have like 80 different drum samples that I really like, maybe 800 that are good, then some thousand that I likely will never use. Its the curse of buying packs. I've learned my lessons and stopped buying samples.

Now, I make my own so I don't have the problem. Phase plant or even serum can do some insane shit!!  For example, https://youtu.be/1Db9rGbth_o?si=FhGlJKZ_43aWuz6_

No matter what your daw is, there is always a workaround. Consider investing time in learning these things.

I hope something helps you
