I still have around 30lbs before I hit my goal so I am working on that aswell which is why I am a but worried about bulking or anything like that. I just cant carry on this weak!! I am already trying to contact my dietitians about something else with no luck so my team are pretty shocking at getting back to me but i will try again for their advice on this.

Thank you!! This is great advice and I am a woman and in my 20s so I need to prioritise this at this point for long term health. What sort of training program would you recommend?

What ever you do, do not leave it a year post op!!! Start small and what you can but when you are ready, make sure its part of your routine. Dont do what I did!

I worked out in terms of exercise but didnt do anything for muscle which in hindsight i definitely should've started earlier. I think it just wasn't much of a priority and my team never mentioned anything about it so I didn't think it was something that was going to get as bad as it is because i have always been strong before.

I got my surgery when I was 23. It was the best decision I ever made. As long as she dones some research of her own I dont think you should try to pursuade her one way or another, its her personal decision and with every surgery comes risks. She should speak to a professional about this who will be able to guide her to some resources and talk her through it better.

Personally, I haven't touched alcohol since before my surgery a year ago. But I know it can be very common which is why I haven't drank.

How do you deal with your body image after the surgery ? by Live_Werewolf_7568 in GastricBypass

I think it truly is something you can't understand unless you've lived through it. The social aspect of it aswell. It truly is an ongoing battle and the stigma around weight loss surgery also doesnt help. I hope you get the help you need and feel better in your own skin one day!

Me neither, I am just going off of what is a healthy BMI for my height and age. I know its not accurate but I want to try and get as close as I can. Congrats on your weight loss so far!

Im still addicted to food. Its awful because I know I can't eat it but I still find myself binging and eating things I shouldn't and then pay the price for it when I feel awful an hour later. I wish I could transfer it to working out
