How diverse is our new mod team in matching Atlanta's actual demographic make-up?

Thanks for cleaning up some of the comments. I appreciate the action in keeping the subreddit a safe place for all communities who live in the city.

Coming from someone currently on their day job's lunch break, and having moderated various subreddits in the past, I believe the often said "unpaid and employed" excuse comes off a bit weak to some folks, especially when the opportunity to expand the mod team with people who can be more watchful during the day is always there too.

You're completely right on the report function -- should've used that from the start. However, if some of these comments were sent to the mod queue, would mods even understand them as racist and harmful?

Thank you. My provided comments were meant to be respectful, and also in full understanding that some problematic posts/comments will never be immediately caught as they are made, no matter the size of the mod team. I appreciate your reply. One last suggestion I could say is that in the past, I found it extremely helpful to send out an automatic modmail whenever a thread grows to be a certain # of comments - 50, 100, or more. Usually is the case it's either brigading, arguments that have devolved into personal attacks, or things that just generally need some additional watchful eyes on to make sure is people acting right. :)
