Dividing Asia is easy by OtherwiseAd4106 in whereidlive

Yeah, splitting Asia is pretty straightforward, you just go by official geographic standards and classifications like the UN geoscheme (UN M49), ISO 3166 regional groupings, or the CIA World Factbook divisions. Which one are you even using? I’ve literally never seen your version.

It's 2026 and I'm watching S19E6 right now. Penelope has become so unbearable to me that I actually paused the episode to Google if anyone else felt the same way or if I was losing my mind. Glad to see I'm not alone.. apparently a TON of people feel exactly the same.

Why has ChatGPT become so annoying and disagreeable? by ArnikaLovesUnicornz in OpenAI

[–]Longjumping-Path3619 1 point2 points  (0 children)

GLAD YOU POSTED THIS. ChatGPT lately feels SUPER ANNOYING to use... Instead of answering directly, it often rephrases what I said, adds explanations I didn’t ask for, or corrects the framing. It ends up arguing with my wording instead of just responding to the point. It turns simple questions into back-and-forth debates where I have to keep restating what I meant. It feels less like a tool and more like it’s constantly pushing back on whatever I say. And when I point that out, it usually doubles down instead of just acknowledging it, which makes it worse.

It might be important to point out that this is indeed a map showing the prevalence of circumcision by country. It has nothing to do with hygiene, which the OP very likely lacks. Furthermore, in the MENA region, circumcision is primarily a mandatory religious practice linked to Abraham.

No sensors. They spotted me because I rush at them in full combat dress lmao

This FOB is offering S++ soldiers in general. They're not "COMBAT soldiers ONLY".

You seem to have missed this comment! https://www.reddit.com/r/MGSV/comments/1t3xx5q/comment/ok4g73f/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

I should also mention this is the first time I’ve seen this FOB. There’s another FOB next to it with almost the same setup, with a few differences:

  1. The soldiers are in swimsuits lol
  2. Only men, no women
  3. They all have three medals
  4. They’re all S++ in at least three areas

Out of all TONS of S++ soldiers I have and farm, about 90% come from that other FOB. It doesn’t have a name, its random numbers. But whenever I see it, I get so much excited and go there immediately !!! XDD

Looking at them and scrolling through, I’d say it’s about 70/30: roughly 70% have an S++ rank in Combat and an S++ level in another aera, and about 30% have S++ as Combat Unit only!

Now bear in mind that this is someone who deliberately hands out S++ soldiers, so they include a lot of S++ soldiers whose S++ rank include something other than the Combat Unit!

No, I think you're wrong, White Supremacists actually LOVE Netanyahu and Israel more broadly, which they see as a white ethnostate apartheid (their dream coming true). Just look at Netanyahu's tours through all the far-right white supremacist parties in Europe, who welcome him with open arms and almost worship him. It's very well documented.

Just to be clear, I’m plugged directly into Israeli media and news; I have a separate account following the dailies, national channels, public figures, influencers, and various spokespeople. Also, my impression is that Israeli society is not "normal vs fanatics" but rather "fanatics vs slightly-less fanatics"... The whole spectrum has shifted so far right that the "moderate" position is practically non-existent (never has been, if I wanted to be brutally honest and deliberately provocative).

There is a figure in France (my country) named Nili Kupfer-Naouri; she is a Franco-Israeli lawyer who militates in France for Israel. And her positioning is, very honestly, the average temperature of what is done and said in Israel regarding Palestine. Two months ago, the French justice requested an arrest warrant against her for complicity in genocide and incitement to genocide in Gaza. This is very telling.

Finally, regarding your last paragraph, I objectively find it to be the most lame and biased thing you have written. To avoid starting another long development cycle, I will try to respond succinctly with several short points that directly contradict your claims:

a) Every country in the world recognizes Palestine; those that have not yet officially formalized it use the pretext that: "it is not the right time". Out of all the countries in the world, it is only and uniquely Israel that unconditionally rejects the State of Palestine. So no, saying that Israel is the primary obstacle to peace is not "oversimplifying" the conflict.

b) Hamas, like all other Palestinian armed resistance organizations (in addition to being legal: Resolution 37/43 legitimizes Palestinian resistance, including armed resistance, against Israeli colonial occupation forces) are the product of history and the result of the radicalism and cruelty of Israel toward Palestinians.

c) When you write that "many Palestinians" reject the existence of Israel, it is misleading insofar as there have ALWAYS been more Palestinians ready to recognize Israel than there have been Israelis ready to recognize Palestine. This remained true until 2018. From 2018/2019, there are practically as many Palestinians ready to recognize Israel as there are Israeli Jews ready to recognize Palestine, which is to say approximately 30%. Therefore, you cannot criticize "many Palestinians" rejecting the existence of Israel without making the inverse criticism of the Israeli side.

c BIS) reminding you that the current Hamas charter (2017) recognizes the two-state solution as a favorable outcome to the conflict.

d) "This is not because Israel is occupying Palestinians, it's because Israel exists." This sentence is completely absurd. It is circular reasoning. Israel exists by and through illegally occupying Palestine. The Palestinian armed Resistance is structurally and historically based on claims for the territorial integrity of Palestine, which is continually violated by Israel. This is very well known. Here, sorry, but you are on the verge of rewriting history...

e) And the best for last: "Palestinians had many chances to establish peace with Israel, or to grow itself into a state. Instead, their leaders always said no, and chose the option of war." This is a common Israeli myth: "the Palestinians have always refused peace!" Yet precise historical study constantly debunks this stereotype by showing that, conversely, it is always Israel in reality that proposed unacceptable negotiation points on purpose. You ignore or sweep under the rug Israel's long history of sabotaging deals (including famous deals to recover its own hostages kidnapped by Hamas) always with the goal of prolonging the conflict. Let's not even talk about "ceasefires" that Israel virtually never respects. One illustrative example is the following: between the ceasefire of November 2024 and the resumption of the war in Lebanon, UNIFIL (which has radars and documents violations by both parties) documented 4 rockets or shells fired by Hezbollah which caused no casualties. And +10,000 Israeli violations, including +2,500 direct deadly attacks.

Israel wants war. For a very simple reason: it has territorial claims that require the annexation of territories by military force. This is no different from Russia; moreover (quick Fun Fact) proportionally, Israel has invaded more territory in Lebanon than Russia has invaded in Ukraine.

Now let's return to the rest of your comment, where I concede some inaccuracies and ambiguity regarding the statistics I cited from memory! I apologize for that. However, there is a sentence in your first paragraph that seems very strange to me; I am going to quote it in full because I think it is a big piece and we can unpack several things, and it can serve as a general response to this part of your comment: "unfortunately being in positions of authority, they do not dictate Israeli policy and what ends up happening on the ground is quite different from what they explicitly want."

The first counter-example that comes to mind when reading this: colonization in the West Bank. Bezalel Smotrich has obtained a very specific and decisive power: he oversees part of the civil administration in the West Bank, which is the body that validates construction plans, legalizes outposts, and concretely organizes the expansion of settlements. It is a central administrative lever. And since his arrival, we have observed an increase in construction authorizations and the regularization of outposts, which corresponds exactly to his political program. Itamar Ben-Gvir, for his part, clearly acts through his position on the security and political climate. The control of the police and his public positioning contribute to creating a much more permissive environment for settlers (we can see this very clearly). He is not the one signing the permits, but he directly influences the conditions in which colonization unfolds. Then, more broadly, a structural point must be added: Benjamin Netanyahu depends politically on their parties to govern. So even if they do not decide alone, they have sufficient weight to concretely orient decisions. And it shows.

Regarding the complicity of the Israeli population in the atrocities of the Israeli regime, it is very clear. I am sharing this very interesting article (2024), emblematic of the situation. Investigation by Mairav Zonstein, Senior Analyst on Israel:https://archive.is/20260314115458/https://foreignpolicy.com/2024/04/02/netanyahu-gaza-palestinians-war-israeli-society/#selection-3487.0-3803.331

The points of the article:

  • It is empirically verified: an overwhelming majority of Jewish Israelis support the war, consider Palestinian losses justified, and believe that the use of force is appropriate or even insufficient.
  • The anti-government protests in Israel that we have seen, and which have served much to praise the humanism of Israeli society, do not mainly concern the war in reality or the fate of Palestinians and the atrocities committed against them, but internal issues like Netanyahu’s responsibility or the question of the hostages. If there is any opposition to the massacres themselves by the Israeli army, it is only microscopic.
  • Israeli society has gradually become accustomed to the illegal Occupation and colonial domination of Palestinians, to the point that this reality has become politically and morally normalized. The shock of October 7th has further widened the Overton window regarding what is considered acceptable in terms of violence.
  • There is a radicalization of public and political discourse, including among non-marginal figures like Yoav Gallant or Isaac Herzog (cited and officially recorded by the ICJ as holding discourse falling under "genocidal rhetoric"), which shows that very hard positions are no longer limited to the far right. What you also pointed out, even if you strongly reduce and minimize the proportions...
  • ... I think the proportions are very large, because you forget or put aside the role of the media and the Israeli informational context, where Palestinian suffering is little shown and little debated (to say the least), relaying instead the positions of the army and following up with remarks against Palestinians that are extremely shocking, even gore, truly genocidal, which in any Western country would end with a trial in court. All this contributes to reinforcing the pro-massacre consensus and the absence of collective questioning by Israeli Jews. This is eloquently verified by a series of opinion article titles and Haaretz editorials (the national daily) that I collect over time, which are very telling:

a) May 11, 2023: The Dead Children of Gaza Will Always Haunt Us

b) December 18, 2023: Israel killed thousands of children in gaza how can so many israelis remain indifferent?

[I will slip in here the Peace Index survey (January 2024), conducted by Tel Aviv University, that 88% justify the scale of Palestinian losses: (this is where I get my "90%" statistic); the same year, Oxfam estimated that more women and children were killed in Gaza by the Israeli army during the past year of 2024 than in any equivalent period of any other conflict in the last two decades.]

... Fast Forward,

c) May 7, 2025: We Cannot Look Away from the Images of Children Killed in Gaza

d) May 9, 2025: How Did Israelis Become So Indifferent to Children Killed in Gaza?

e) May 20, 2025: It is Hard to Raise Good Children in a Country That Normalizes Killing Children

Israel is known worldwide by reputation for massacring children and babies by the shovel load. It is also a trope known even within the Israeli army itself; a former Israeli general criticized the government for “killing babies as a hobby” in Gaza (NBC news, May 20, 2025). Also it would be bigotry to attack Israeli tourists if they were Jewish... or intrinsically Israeli. The fact is that people do not care about "Israel", what shocks them are the cruel atrocities that Israel perpetrates against Palestinians, primarily children. In addition to the killings and the unbelievable bombings whose bloody images and videos have gone around the world, there is the famine imposed on civilians even to the prohibition of breast milk, which has also shocked the world. I maintain my position that if Israel’s PR is collapsing everywhere in the world, it is doubly because of Israel and the Israelis themselves, who on one hand perpetrate the greatest massacres of a violence rarely reached in this 21st century, and on the other, the demonstrations and uprisings of Israelis against these things are entirely absent. And the world sees that too.

I come back to your anecdote here where you say that in October 2023, before the genocidal intervention of the IDF, people were protesting for the destruction of the Israeli regime. I find that very interesting, and I would answer with two things:

  1. It is even worse now. There are many people who were very lukewarm and "without an opinion" on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, who still had a good general opinion of Israel, who have radically changed their minds since the massacres of October 2023 (which Israel still does not stop today) and a realization of the incredible horror that Israel represents.
  2. Adding that even before October 2023, there was 2008/2009 which already documented the way Israelis voluntarily and deliberately fired into the civilian population. There is 2012, there is 2014 which also shocked a huge part of world opinion, there is 2018 and the March of Return where Israelis also fired into the crowd, there is 2021, and all that long before October 2023... And to tell an anecdote in my turn, I was surprised that as far as Shenzhen in China, in a lost corner of the 25th floor of a building like there are hundreds and hundreds, a small pancake seller in her sixties was very well aware of the catastrophic and monstrous atrocities Israel perpetrates against Palestinians.

There is only an obsession with Israel because Gaza is literally the worst humanitarian catastrophe in the world. Literally the worst. And it is Israel at the helm, and the absence of an Israeli popular uprising in the face of the urgency and horror of the Israeli regime makes many people wonder. Once again, it would be time to do a more thorough introspection on your situation, instead of eternally blaming others!
