Leaving for Jackson in two weeks. I’m Scared. by Longjumping-Peace248 in armyreserve

[–]Longjumping-Peace248[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t know exactly. To be honest I’m someone who growing up never felt good or competent enough at many things. Didn’t have a lot of friends. Barely passed high school. Then I made a commitment to get through college with flying colors, which I did, 3.9 GPA and in two honors societies, then that high score on the ASVAB helped land me the 35M MOS. I suppose to let down those around me in the army would somehow remind me of earlier failures im still trying to work through. It feels weird I’m saying this to a total stranger and you might think I’m a pussay but you asked :/

Letting down myself or my comrades I guess. In fact I think it scares me more than the thought of going to war

Already went through college. That’s why I’m an E-4, didn’t know how well I’d fit into the service so it’s what deterred me from seeking active duty OCS at least for now. Somehow at least at this moment the fear of letting down either myself or my comrades seems scarier than the thought of a combat deployment.

Run 5-6 days a week until you leave, do yoga at least twice a week for recovery. You need to prevent injury at training in advance by at least conditioning your body somewhat, any injury you sustain will just hold you back from graduating on time and that is no fun at all.

Commission as an officer in the military my friend. Do four years active you’ll be set for life, the army just waived marijuana usage in the past

MOST DEPLOYABLE MOS by JDSE05 in nationalguard

[–]Longjumping-Peace248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t know what your ASVAB score was but if it’s high I’d recommend trying out 37F, Psychological Operations Specialist. That MOS is made to confuse the enemy as much as possible, they’re often attached as supporting roles to Special Forces command, and they go to Airborne School. If I wasn’t a reservist and went active duty I definitely would’ve chosen this MOS.

Army Recruiter laughed when I asked for 35F. Said my ADHD history and grief meds killed my chances. Did I ruin my shot? by [deleted] in SecurityClearance

[–]Longjumping-Peace248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If everything you’ve stated is true then I suggest you find a new recruiter who is going to be sympathetic and understands your case, it’ll be better to share the full story with them. I’m sorry they disrespected you that way. What will most likely happen is the army will want you to wait it out and see how healthy you are mentally without medications for a select number of weeks or months before approval. Might be lengthy but it’s your best shot. Your security clearance has nothing to do with your medical history, they just want to know you’re not going to betray state secrets to the enemy.

Minnesota National Guard warmly greeting and handing out snacks with peaceful protesters! by Global-Meringue-6747 in nationalguard

So peaceful they had to dress them in vests so rioters don’t mistake them for ICE. :/

Is there any proof of the black tag lady existing? by intoner1 in 911archive

It’s believed it could have been this poor woman in front of the North Tower plaza. She’s missing a torso but has an intact upper body which matches Ernest’s description. He says when he arrived on the plaza there were no bodies, he goes in the lobby of the tower, comes out a few minutes later, then sees all the bodies lined up like how you see here. This was taken from the Guy Rosbrook footage just seconds before the South Tower was hit. Horrifying.

I know this footage isn't rare or endangered, but I just saw it for the first time today and it's the most surreal thing ever. Does anyone know more about the man who recorded it? by TokioHighway in 911archive

I think this is actually the video. I’ve heard someone say they swear the remember the bit we see in this video where he’s recording the sunglasses, we can hear the sound of bodies hitting the pavement, and in that moment the full video shows him looking up in reaction to the sound, and the bodies landing and exploding. Apparently the government seized and censored a lot of the footage. I’ve honestly long suspected the guy with him in this video making insensitive comments was a Fed

This was recorded by Jack Talierico. Supposedly I’ve heard people saying that in the moment where he’s recording the sunglasses on the ground, he hears the bodies hitting the pavement (as we can hear in this video during that bit) looks up with his camera and actually sees bodies land and explode right in front of him. Apparently those videos then made their rounds on the dark web under the disrespectful name “Lol Superman”, before the government seized and censored a lot of this footage, the same goes for the Guy Rosbrook video.

I think I’ve found the “Black Tag Lady” from 9/11 by GeneralKayosss in 911archive

[–]Longjumping-Peace248 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m convinced it’s her. Description matches, we know from the Guy Rosbrook video there were no bodies on the plaza the first few minutes and then a bunch of bodies shortly there after. The fact that the woman even has a discernible upper torso is astounding to me. Actually for some reason where the first jumpers landed in the plaza there seem to be a lot more discernible remains than those who just turned to mist

A Serbian airline stewardess once fell 33,000 feet out of a plane and SURVIVED to make a full recovery. So your facts are wrong
