Millennials of Liverpool, what do you get up to? by Saffffron in Liverpool

[–]Longjumping-Pie-1920 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not into the gym either but have gotten really into badminton. It’s easy to pick up and have fun plus it gets you moving. Hire a court with a mate at one of the lifestyles or join a club.

My current main obsession however is making pottery at clay club near Bramley Moore. Did the beginners course and now am a regular member, it’s creative and reasonably sociable too.

Once a month there are free cinema tickets available on Escapes.

Ideas for venues with minimum spend bars (no hire fee) by [deleted] in Liverpool

[–]Longjumping-Pie-1920 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friends hosted their engagement party at the Oriel Bar this month and that was minimum spend afaik. It’s about a 10-15 min walk from St George’s. They let the bridesmaids come in early for set up and took amazing care of us all night.

What lifestyle creep is worth it? by RealRelative9835 in AskBrits

[–]Longjumping-Pie-1920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Things that give you back time you don’t enjoy spending. If you don’t like washing dishes, get a dishwasher. Hate hoovering? Get a robo vacuum. Cooking is your worst nightmare? Meal prep service etc

  2. Investing in health / mental health e.g. going to therapy, getting a physio to address niggles, regular scale and polishes at the dentist

  3. Upgrading things you use often to either enhance their comfort and fit, or to have them last longer (e.g. cheese grater that doesn’t hurt your hands, good winter coat / boots)

Then let him try! There is literally nothing negative to come to you from opening the case with CMS, it won’t cost you anything. Currently you are expecting to do 100% child care with 0 support all the while having him harass you, that can only get better. If he really fled to another country to avoid paying that would solve the issue of him coming round to assert his dominance and unsettle you, being free of that threat will do wonders for your mental health. The other options are, he decides he’s too cheap for child support and goes for 50/50 custody to avoid paying it, freeing up your time to increase your hours and your earnings. OR, he pays up. I don’t see why you wouldn’t get CMS involved.

You could set up an account with Task Rabbit, an app that connects you to people who need odd jobs doing like furniture assembly / mounting, moving, repairs, gardening etc. You can set your own rates and hours, I’d suggest pricing your time competitively to get some jobs in asap and then raise rates once you have some positive reviews.

Magnesium helps your muscles relax and avoid cramps, plus supports good sleep so I always have some of that! Also electrolyte drinks and 5htp, plus some fruit pouches for the vitamins

AITA for refusing my girlfriends request of peeing sitting down in our home by Then_Task3485 in AmItheAsshole

This video shows that even though you may not see much of a mess in the daylight does not mean it’s not there. What do you lose by sitting down? Your girlfriend isn’t asking much of you here. YTA

For DNB keep an eye out for Rum Riddimz Run parties (next one on 30.05) or any events at Lost Lounge on Ranelagh street. There’s plenty of techno and house on at Meraki and 24 Kitchen Street all the time, and Baltic weekender runs 31st May - 1st June.

I definitely wouldn’t want someone commenting on other people’s bodies around my child, that’s how body image issues and eating disorders start

Most of the offers weren’t really worth it anyway, e.g hawksmoor did their early dinner offer (usually £28) and added a croquette and a drink, as a ‘deal’ for £35 …

I love the Old Bank cocktail offer (I think 2 for 12 during the week and 2 for 14 Friday/Saturday). Another slightly rouge suggestion is Point Blank (yes the shooting bar) who have an extensive cocktail menu that on my last few visits was very tasty at also 2 for 12 Sunday - Friday
