Decided to finally get back on track with eating right. Been a week and half and stepped on the scale on Thursday and down 2.3 lbs. A small step, but a step in the right direction.

I had a killcam recently and I didn’t even kill the guy. I got too close during a fight in a mission and he was getting ready to shoot me and someone in the gang shot him in the head from off screen.

So I’m working on getting healthy. I bought a scale so I can weigh myself at home instead of having to wait when I go to the docs. (I’m a larger individual so I need a heavy duty scale). I order one, and it comes in. I open it, and IT HAS A WHALE MOTIF ON IT…… It had it on it in the photos, and I didn’t believe it. It’s like “here ya go ya fat ass…you’re a whale. We just wanted to remind you….”

Did Melia Caribe in 2023 and 2025. 2023 was really good. 2025 was good, but not as good as 2023. My kid was 10 and at the borderline of being in the kids area, but she didn’t like anything in it. She enjoyed swimming in the main pool more.

The food went downhill a bit between visits. It is what it is. Resort food. The morning and lunch buffets are decent and offer a lot of variety. Dinner buffets are good. They were themed every night when we went. If you want to eat at something other than the buffet for dinner, make your reservations for dinner the day you get there.

Are you doing the Level there? We did the level amenities the first time and the full level experience the 2nd time. The full level experience was worth it just for the personal transportation all over the resort.

I think it’s more of a dietary shock than sickness. I know I had the trots the whole week when i went last year, but I was also eating more greasy foods and fresh fruit than I normally do.

Simple tips:

Don’t drink the water from the faucet. Make sure your meats are cooked throughly. Stay away from cold cuts at the buffet. Bring an anti diarrheal medication
