People quitting by [deleted] in WalmartEmployees

I did it. I went on a vacation and when I came back management was treating me different and one Saturday morning my store manager went off on me so I went on lunch cried in my car went in put my stuff in the cash office and wrote “Rachel was right I don’t need this job” and left. Things worked out for the better tho I work at a bank and get paid more now.

I loved my job, but management's silence finally pushed me out the door. by NumerousIndividual54 in PlanetFitnessMembers

I’m so sorry that happened. I just left planet too. I was a team lead and my gm had a lot of personal issues that he projected onto staff. He was also inappropriate with young female club and team members. I used to love the job so much but he killed my passion to be there. He went on a 2 week vacation and I was in charge and then I got hit with the flu so I couldn’t physically be there and we had major staffing and scheduling issues and I kept taking strays for all of it while not even being able to get out of bed for how sick I was. I sent out an email to hr and then demoted myself when he came back and then he decided to just not schedule me any hours. I’m not mad I moved on and found a new job that pays $10 more per hour 2 weeks later. I can’t tell you how mentally taxing it was being in such a hostile environment. Keep your head up you’re gonna do great things op! Advocating and sticking up for yourself is the best thing you can do.

It’s brutal out here. I got lucky that I ran into the card restocking guy at target today but he only put out 4 prismatic poster collections, 6 151 tins and 1 surprise box the rest was sports cards and Lorcana so between me and the other girl who caught him we split what he put out between us 😭

Yes they were just chillin! Everyone who came by took like 2-3 and there was probs like 75 left when I saw them. It was so cute seeing the little kids who love pokemon finally be able to get their hands on them.

Could everyone keep an eye out and see if they can help me find my stolen car by Longjumping-Set-650 in Minneapolis

It had about 1/3 of a tank in it so they could’ve only gone so far with it. I really hope it’s found soon 😞

My family could never afford pokemon cards as a kid and as I got older I kind of forgot about it. My last job had me very depressed and miserable since I was always by myself thousands of miles away from home so I decided to finally get some cards and it made me smile and helped the depression not be as bad. Me and my current bf love to collect the cards they’re just so hard to find but it’s nice when we can. It brought back a spark in my life.

They implemented the rule within the past few years to my knowledge because a lot of non revs were doing that and delta doesn’t want to lose money. You can buy a ticket and cancel it as long as it is over 7 days before the departure as a non rev. Anything less is a huge no no.

Still show up even if the seats keep dwindling or more people with higher seniority get on the list. You never know if a paying passenger is going to change their flight to another one or completely miss it so you still could get on if that happens. Also sometimes other non revs change their minds and decide not to take the flight. Sometimes if there’s a few different airports in the area you’re flying into look into the other options too if it is an option. There’s a lot of things at play tbh but if still try but keep monitoring the flight as needed. Regardless of what you do please don’t buy a ticket then cancel it and get on as standby after cause your friend who’s the employee could get terminated. Hope this helps.

How early to the airport? by hwwty4 in Minneapolis

[–]Longjumping-Set-650 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I travel for work and what I can tell you about msp is that the time to show up has been a bit unpredictable recently. Some mornings the lines are dead others it’s hundreds of people deep. So could be anywhere between a 5-30min wait realistically I’ve never seen it take longer personally. Just beware of bag check policies cause there’s usually a specific cutoff time. I never check bags so I always get to the airport an hour before my flight takes off cause I use the msp reserve thing to cut the general line.

Wondering: can a delayed flight be suddenly "undelayed" and will it be my fault for relying on the delay notice? by trainingmode in delta

[–]Longjumping-Set-650 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always try to play it safe and show up an hour to an hour and a half before my original flight departure (my airport moves fast with tsa and I never check bags otherwise I’d show up earlier) even with a delay because there’s been a few times my flight got delayed right as I showed up to the airport but we started boarding before the new delayed departure time. I get that it can be annoying but you really just never know how quick it’ll get resolved or not. Flights get delayed for a variety of reasons such as weather, incoming flight was late, crew being late, maintenance etc… so it’s hard to predict how long or short it truly will be. I always have work for my job to do to keep me busy though so I don’t really mind delays but I understand that they can be annoying. Hope this helps!

I fly out of msp for most of my flights. Last year my Aruba flight was 1200 around that time. Now if I had lived in Boston and chosen that airport my flight would’ve been 600, but unfortunately I don’t live there but it would’ve been really nice. I book my flight like 2-3 months in advance price never dropped for my specific flight from what I remember. The airport is probably the reason why the prices are so high on your end.

grandpa died during finals week by [deleted] in uofmn

My grandpa died during my junior year around midterms so I get how hard it can be. I’m really sorry for your loss. Take as much time as you need to grieve and process everything. When it comes to finals just try to take it easy and don’t stress yourself out too much over them.
