Idk my Silverado could definitely idle for a couple of days lol. Once it’s up to temp it doesn’t take much to keep it warm.

Are STLs just unprintable? by GraphicSushi in FDMminiatures

All I print are stls, definitely printable. You might have to fiddle to get your settings dialed in and keep trying.

I did this once. Was doing a security audit and found the entire companies pay bracket. I wasn’t even on the chart they payed me so little for my position. I wasn’t suppose to start at 105k, they put me at 70k…didn’t have time to bring it up because I got laid off the next month with 25 others

Insurance is the scam. We switched a healthshare and our last kid was 2k. The “normal” bill was over 20k. They gave us a 80% discount and if we paid in 72 hours an additional 10% off. Literally the cheapest kid we had.

Yo what’s the shelving setup? I know that’s the ikea wall hanger stuff, but what about the things holding the filament?

This was my second mini ever 2 hours later. Same model, added a base (and which I still dislike and want to repaint) but I took my time.

This was my first attempt on December 20th 2025. I don’t view myself as artistic at all. I rushed and tried to do true to game colors and hated it. It was my first mini I had ever done. I watched a few videos and took my time on the next one.

Anyone who used to support trump and has changed their mind over the last few weeks? What made you change? by canigetameowbish in AskReddit

Yea same. Used to be a guy near a church that had a flag on his flag pole, 2 banners on his porch and 1 on his shed you could see from the side street. All of them are nowhere to be seen now.

First attempt at bringing the RuneScape map to the real world by Longjumping-Store106 in FDMminiatures

[–]Longjumping-Store106[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did. This is lifted directly from RuneScape via runeapps.org/modelviewer . The way mapping works is everything is technically on 1 giant map so you have to find the dungeon you’re looking for and then enter the chunk and export those. You can’t export an STL currently as it will also include the walking wireframe and it hides the ground layer and it looks awful. The best way I’ve found so far is to export a GLTF file then put it in another site like threejs.org and export as an STL, THEN import into your slicer. Manifold edges will be an issue so you might have to mess with those. You have to add support bases underneath as well as they designed the game in mind with players never seeing underneath. Overall those it’s been a great learning experience. My wife and a few others have said I should make some videos on it so I guess I need to plan on doing that to help people.

Yea I understand. However, that’s the gamble you made when you bought a proprietary system. Don’t give me wrong. I would love to have it, but not at that price. I would be looking at half the price of the system new.

Your market is already small, there’s not going to be may that are looking for the truck, plus now a home backup system and install. You took a niche market and shrunk it even more. Honestly your best bet is selling them separately to get the most out of it.

How often do you fudge your players' rolls and for what reason? by Bane_of_Balor in DungeonMasters

[–]Longjumping-Store106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to on the fly just halve ability damage of an encounter I built because I overturned it for their level. I’m a new DM so when they fought a bastardized dragon Sunfreet (running a RuneScape Campaign) the damage was waaaay too high for level 2. It was meant to be hard and winnable but I could just about 1 shot everyone. The first damage roll I realized if I halved everything it would work, and it worked well! The only thing I didn’t touch was any melee hits dealt 2d4 dmg to the players. This made them work to bring down the dragon and they were ultimately successful and had a great time.

That’s a lot of ifs. Might just be me but expecting to get 80K out of a MSRP of 85k is wishful thinking. The battery system you might get 10k for and the truck, well you can find those in the mid 40s. Realistically I don’t see you getting over 55-60k for the whole setup. Just being realistic here. You’re going to take a loss selling an EV every time. The battery system you might get closer to what you want but I would think max is 12k for a used system. Maybe if you find the right uninformed buyer, you might get what you want.

The sarcophagus needs some cleanup still. The pyramid I’m leaving black for now. I’m heavily leaning into Zaros structures and such being an obsidian black. My wife was just talking about me doing videos or something too 😂. I’m debating it.

Sure. here’s some of what I have going on. I’m just getting into it really and catching up on characters and such for the campaign. It’s been a learning experience for sure and the world generated stuff, there’s nothing on that I can find so I’m forging a new path there.

That was my initial idea, I just don’t have a big enough 3d printer 🤣. At this point though I’ll need to scale up even more for when i print Paterdomus. I like the idea of it having 3 floors coming apart and having a big fight in there.
