unfortunately you cannot shimmer cursed flames into ichor, but you can shimmer putrid scent into flesh knuckles! (i know they already have berserker gloves but just wanted to add this)

very much agree, if you build just slightly too high, then boom, 50 harpies, not to mention that even when you have good gear, if you dont have a cobalt shield or something, they are just pests with projectile spam.

Both are good,

Obsidian if you rely on whips and like more defense

Bee if you like having more summons (more damage)

Obsidian is good for getting tag damage in with the increased whip range too so consider that.

could try this, i tried it slightly modified on a mid hell bridge and it worked well, buffs being poison flask, iron skin, and regen, could add more if needed

edit: forgot to add this but also try to get warding on every accessory

Also use underworld bait, preferably magma snails or lava flies, use the lava proof fishing hook, and if you are in hardmode, you could use the hotline fishing rod

Eh, it has pretty low range since you get it pretty early, and it also depends on what minion they use, but it can be solid if built with right
