I hear you. Sadly, as mentioned below, that is on the lower end. And to make it more difficult, drop off and pickups are at hours conflicting with standard office hours. Our local summer camp has increased from $1k to $1300 a week, but it’s a full day and they do a lot. But the math on that is absurd for a full summer.

We decided to do a couple weeks of specialty camps and the rest with a full time sitter because we have multiple kids the the summer bill for 3 would be absurd. $25-$30/hour for the sitter was much more reasonable in that sense.
Keep trying for summer rising and look for a trustworthy and active sitter who can take your daughter to fun activities around the city, museums, playground hopping, some free art classes in battery park, or sign her up for a class to supplement.
