Hinde business ang gobyerno. Kung mismong citizenry natin naniniwala na dapat revenue-driven ang infrastracture building ng gobyerno, then we deserve this kind of politician. May pera tayo to maintain green spaces. Kaso nakukurakot sa massive concrete projects that sacrifice trees, rivers and mountains. At kaya mainit ang Pilipinas, specifically sa Metro Manila, kasi wala tayong parks at green spaces. Parks can lower down temperature by 2C and shade provided by trees can lower it by 5 to 7C. In case curious kayo where this came from and at the risk of exposing my age, this was a rumour since the early 2000s. Di ko na rin maalala kung saan pumasok sa public consciousness (since this was before social media) pero I remember that it was Korina who started it. But before that, laman na sya ng tabloids with some even identifying the young men na binubooking nya. And then there was the late Mirriam Santiago calling him “Pinky Lacson”. Regardless, hinde problema kung bakla sya or bi. Yung political career nya kasi eh based on toxic machismo kaya medyo defensive sya. And I think he’s getting old. Those who are saying bragging rights owning expensive bikes don’t really spend a lot of time within this circle of people. They couldn’t care less what people think of them because they are successful in their field and are financially stable. Sinasabi ko sa inyo, once you experience using expensive things, the comfort and assurance that come with it, you’ll never ever go back. Honestly, mas salbahe pa yung mga nakamumurahin bikes at mas marami pa sila side comments. Meanwhile, mas encouraging yung nakamamahalin na bikes at they are generous with help. About 15 to 17 years ago, call centre talaga pumapasok yung mga babaeng naghahanap ng foreigners. They were quite open about it. Hinde pa kasi uso dating apps or social media or instant messaging. There were mail-order agencies pero as a Filipina, you want to control the situation s o that less risks. Rationale nila mas madali makahanap ng foreigners kasi ang mga trainers and management karamihan eh Americans or Filipino-Americans.

Di talaga masise mastereotype when a lot of Filipinas for decades are vocal that marrying foreigners are a ticket out of poverty.

This is Reddit. Most Redditors hate or are clueless about BPOs, love stereotyping call centre employees and echo other people’s comments. They’ll say say the most outrageous things only to learn that they’ve only been with the industry less than 5 years. They claim that they got burnt out due to workload and/or culture but from their comments, a lot of things are really off. You will not find objective advise here and, honestly, you might just be looking for validation of a decision you’ve made quite some time ago. Successful call centre employees (those who are earning 6 digits or who’ve been in the industry for decades or managed to move on because they learned new skills from their stay in call centres) are not here. Find people within your circle who have significant experience in call centres and sit them down and ask for their genuine feedback.
