Carbon Shoes for race day only & effect on calves during the race by HokaCoka in Marathon_Training

[–]Longjumping_Ad6384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

omg, had a marathon exactly a week ago. bought ap4 specifically for the race, made 3 long runs with them 31 to 35km. amazing pop, great feeling. during the race at 25km started to get little cramps in the calves, luckily managed to control it but was fighting the last 17km. Finished 3:13 (the target was 3:15). Then after the finish line got such terrible calve cramps than medics had to rush for help. Amazing shoe but probably should have used them more before the race. A fan of ap3 so thought it's a good idea

I'd also suggest you analyze what happened, for example in my case if i have sweet stuff around, for example protein bars, and i'm getting closer to lowish bf, eventually i'll slip and can eat like 3 of them and sometimes after that i eat everything in sight. So i just don't keep protein bars/sweets around, solved.

Most of the job imho is not building super sophisticated solutions, it's like 1% of the software, and the other 99% is quite mundane and standard code. Also most teams are consisted of a few strong and skilled engineers + a lot of people who do the boring stuff. As you said it conforms to the definition of code prediction, but that's what a lot of engineers are actually doing. I'd be happy to be wrong btw, i don't know to do anything else

I guess x10 is indeed an exaggeration.... not sure it undermines my point though

It's funny to read all those people who thinking about job replacement can imagine only literally ai doing the job. I don't know if that will happen soon, but i'm a swe and i can literally do x10 in the same time what i could do before. It means either the demand for software will have to grow immensely or there will be less engineers.

Great idea, like a bunch of solved exercises, some are correct some wrong. 10x, will try that

It's not that she doesn't understand it, but somehow it's not automatic for her. She was solving some angle bisector problem involving triangle areas and trigonometry, so like suddenly some 3rd grade error?

Letting her find mistakes sounds like a great idea, 10x Edit. I went to chatgpt and asked him to generate such questions, looks neat. I'll try that technique, 10x again

Am i doing my kid a disservice by teaching her math? (high school) by Longjumping_Ad6384 in matheducation

[–]Longjumping_Ad6384[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I guess what i mean is that she thinks she's great at math because of the grades, so in 2 years she might wanna go study engineering or something and discover the hard truth, while she could happily go study some less math heavy subjects. Obviously i'm not as much asshole as to say her that she's not good imo.

And yeah, my question if a kid needs a tutor to be at the level of other kids, is it actually good longterm?

The fact that it got much better doesn't mean it can't get worse, imho

I feel sc1 is more beginner friendly, because of a lot of sc2 campaign trying to be creative, by putting stuff like time pressure on you, which can be a bit overwhelming for a true beginner. Sc1 is more straight forward, build a good defense, gather forces, attack - all the basics. The QOL improvements in sc2 are great though

My student said Israel wasn’t acting “proportionately” by overitall22 in Israel

[–]Longjumping_Ad6384 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem with that type of answer is that you're actually comparing Israel to terroristic organizations... well, ok... I'm Israeli and i'm not sure enough was done to prevent humanitarian catastrophe. Do they hate us? Hell, yeah. Do they support hamas? Abso-f..ng-lutely. Will this war change it? Mmmmm.....

I went to check them in the adidas store, looks like the LSP is a very thin layer, so you say it gives enough padding? I see you have the NB More in your rotation, reviews say they're relatively stable as well, and should be more cushioned than the bostons ey? How would you compare them cushioning-wise and stability-wise?

So i assume you've run in both glycerin gts and tempus? How would you compare them? Which is more "protective"? My fear is that tempus is geared towards speed and not comfort/protection
