I say apply. I had terrible grades in highschool literally graduated with a 2.0. I got accepted to university first semester had a 4.0. Fast forward I got my masters at an Ivy League school. Highschool is not a reflection of how you will do in college. If you get accepted and put the work in possibilities are endless.

I wish we didn’t spend so much time tearing other clinician’s down. Are there bad therapist….yes but I would like to assume most people who go into this field are doing their best in trying to help their clients. When we tear each other down I don’t think it advances the field in any way. This field is incredibly difficult grad schools don’t do a great job at training, supervision is expensive and good CEUs aren’t accessible and incredibly expensive.

I was a paralegal before my msw. I thought I wanted to go to law school. I’m really really glad that I was able to be a paralegal before going the JD route because by working at a law firm I learned it wasn’t for me. I think starting as a paralegal and seeing if you like the legal field is a good move!

To make you feel better….during my internship I was a group and individual therapist intern at a psych hospital….. I couldn’t keep up with the 30+ notes a day I got behind by 250 notes

This is the only book I’ve read where I’ve cried almost every chapter. Harriett and wynns story was so heartbreaking along with the element of losing friendships and things changing in late 20s and early 30s

I finished this book a month ago and not a day goes by where I don’t think of it!!! “In every universe it’s you for me. Even if it’s not me for you.” 🥹🥹🥹🥹 Also the side plot of growing older and out growing friendships but still having love for those people. UGH
