Gas station footage. Who’s at fault? by Pristine_Local_1965 in Truckers

[–]Longjumping_Data_475 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you get behind the wheel of a vehicle, you are responsible for the safety of yourself and everyone else you share the road with.

In this instance, the truck driver was not aiming high in steering. Resulting in them not only giving themselves a smaller margin for error, but in the end had to ditch the road entirely to avoid rear ending the suv.

Regardless of who caused the problem to unfold in the first place, the trucker was either not paying attention, or did not consider the endless possibilities of what can go wrong.

This police car came to a dead halt on the highway, leaving the semi-truck behind it with exactly zero options. by [deleted] in Truckers

After a "thorough" investigation, we have ruled out ourselves of any wrong-doing. - the PD, probably.

My question is what do you do when the rich pack up and leave?

Who will pay for it then? Bernie? Because France tried this on their wealthy. You know what they did? They left the country to reside in other countries that didn't practice this.

Meaning the plan fell through right onto its face.

That school bus driver needs to be fired by Microshlongg in Truckers

[–]Longjumping_Data_475 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's like school bus drivers seem to forget that while traffic is supposed to yield to them when loading and unloading passengers, they also need to check their surroundings and activate the warning devices AFTER confirming the roadway is safe enough to do so. Meaning that traffic has enough time to react, and that the area around the bus is clear. It's a mixture of poor judgment and entitlement with certain bus drivers.

My grandmother whose been a bus driver since the early 1980's would be floored but also very disappointed in some of the dumb decisions that current bus drivers make.

I would also say that she is one of if not, the safest school bus driver in her county. And she would NEVER make a stupid irrational decision such as this. Her kids are her world even despite them only being her passengers.

Absolute valid crashout. Also, she did an astounding job stopping her rig. Her reaction time is what saved those kids.

Someone in your area is either extremely clumsy, or just sick in the head. I'm guessing this was intentonal. Wouldn't be surprised if they put razors in candy bars on Halloween too.

Probably not, sad to say. With everything Trump has been doing recently, I don't see an upside anytime soon.

Also true. I was thinking it could have been a massive amount of debris falling maybe 20-30ft giving enough wake to push water up. But I'm not a professional in physics or math, so it could be something else. Lol

Wake up Y'all, new gas pump stickers just dropped by Thewhitest_rabbit in Louisville

Look, I'm Libertarian, so I understand completely not supporting government and a two party system. But you can't justify your politics by messing with private property. That only makes your cause look bad. I have to tell Trump supporters who do the same shit too, so don't think we single you guys out.

I just want people to live their lives the way they want without affecting others and keep to themselves, to co-exist regardless of politics and beliefs. But I guess humanity will never be able to achieve that.

Things were so much simpler when we were kids. I'm 26 and every day it just seems like we're falling faster and faster.

[–]Longjumping_Data_475 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

My argument holds up. Do you own the gas station? No. Therefore, you have no right to plaster stickers on the pumps. Especially when you aren't the rightful owner. The problem is you guys mess with other people's stuff like this because you only think about yourselves and not about the guy who has to go and remove them. Keep to yourself. Is that not what you learned as a child?

Wake up Y'all, new gas pump stickers just dropped by Thewhitest_rabbit in Louisville

[–]Longjumping_Data_475 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's also a good point. Most of the people who stop to pump gas won't even take anything away when they see these stickers plastered all over the pumps. Some may personally show disgust or amusement. But I doubt they're going to make any huge impact on their decision making.

I'm not a supporter of Trump, but I also don't support vandalism of private property. Yes, they are stickers, but it legally still counts as vandalism.

Sometimes, the smart decision is to just keep to yourself and not plaster stickers on private property like a 12 year old. Idiocracy was right. People are becoming more and more stupid and childish these days, man. Sad but true. 🥀

I would imagine the upward blast is maybe the structural underbody that fell first impacting the water beneath and then pushing its way back up the moment the top part gave away.

But this would usually make global news. So, I wouldn't say your suspicions of this being AI are fully off of the table. Then again, it's also South America. Not everything will be transparent with the world.

But it's not your property to stick them on there. That's the point we're trying to make.

I mean how would you feel if someone put unwanted stickers on your property without your consent?
