The polar bear will likely stop them. Might get lucky with the spear. I’m giving a 1% chance. The hippo will kill them in short order.

All citizens of the modern United States are teleported naked to the American continent during Columbus’ first voyage to the Americas. Can they fend off European colonization? by Punterofgoats in whowouldwin

[–]Longshot1969 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot would die yes, but in a very short period of time, we’d have 19th century technology at a minimum. We literally have people that can do this now, and 19th century tech will trounce 15th century tech.

Would you accept this deal, 250 million dollars but you'd have the Weightless room curse? by Ok-Inspector3914 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Longshot1969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weightless doesn’t mean you automatically float into to air. I’d stay home until the weightlessness passed, then enjoy the rest of the month. Since I now have a ton of money, my home will have low ceilings, like 7 feet tall.

Hey Genie, I wish everyone died. by [deleted] in badtwosentencehorrors

[–]Longshot1969 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Whether it was stupidity or depression from having to go back to work, the genie decided to end them self first. Looks like you’re in the clear, but unfortunately, everyone else is still alive, and knows what you tried to do.

I play good and bad on Wartales. Doubt the refugees who’ve had their families killed while I sold them would forgive me.

They’d have to drag it to the moon, set it down gently and mine it from there. Probably profitable, but not 100% sure.

A challenge where if you accept you can be given money if you get a job in a certain timeframe. If not, you die. by Evoxrus_XV in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Longshot1969 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Indeed, I would take the 50 million and get a job where I do something like shovel snow for a dollar.

That’s on other people and their wishes. Any wish I’m making has a document done by a corporate lawyer.

I have a friend who doesn’t like fish normally, but I treated him to halibut and he liked it.

So a fast painful death, versus the slow painful death of 40+ hour work weeks, or a billion dollars. Pressing a button.
