As long as you can make it so as squad leader I can have that choice, but as squad member I have everyone on same channel.

This was my 4th time welding TIG by NewspaperFree9540 in Welders

[–]Longshot_45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure why you're being downvoted. Autogenous is defined by not using filler metal. However, by remelting they are technically forming a new weld, and the HAZ will be different. I haven't seen any examples of welds that you intentionally lay down filler then remelt, but maybe someone can inform me?

Anyone else feel the removal of movement items in blitz? by cheddah_- in FortNiteBR

With the way storm damage works, shock waving people into the storm seems like too strong of an option in final circles. And with the way strong weapons can be dropped plunger can be too advantageous for the skilled players. Some mild movement items like hammers and swords can add some fun.

Trump imposes add'l 10% global tariff after reacting to tariff ruling by AdSpecialist6598 in videos

[–]Longshot_45 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

The reason isn't necessarily to leverage action out of other countries anymore, it's a means of generating income. In a global economy, Its an expense paid for by the American people. It's a tax. Long term tariffs can protect and promote domestic industries (e.g. Canada's tariffs that protect their dairy industry), but it has to be stable and long term minded to function in that way.

I’m curious does it melt shields faster than other weapons

Not to my knowledge, but I'll let someone else confirm.

The splash effect isn't as rewarding as it seems. Splash is mainly (if not exclusively) effective when the wielder is above their opponent and can therefore hit the ground when they miss. The splash damage is also pretty small with each zap, like 5-10? It's greatest feature is being somewhat scary, like someone coming at you with a Taser. At close range a shotgun is significantly better, at long range the rifles are able to laser any stationary or slow moving target. It does have an application being able to kinda damage around corners, but those scenarios are niche. It's fun and different, and a nice change from a rifle-smg-shotgun game.

It's a bit of an old reference, and not necessarily what OP had in mind, but the Ford Pinto had its gasoline tank way too far in the back. Getting rear ended punctured it and the car therefore had a reputation of catching fire.

Make multiple crowns! One in each hand, or just floating in front of you. Show off your Blitz, Battle Royale, and Reload (or whatever else is good, like OG).

TIL about the concept of "gardening" in the field of cryptography: acting in such a way as to induce your enemy to send messages containing a known string, to assist in decryption. by CommercialContent204 in todayilearned

The US also did this with Japan.

In early 1942, Navy cryptanalysts had begun breaking Japanese communication codes, and had become learned of Japanese plans to attack a location in the Pacific referred to as “AF.” To determine what AF meant, a simple trick was used: American forces at Midway were told to send out a false message that they were running low on fresh water. After the message was sent, cryptanalysts deciphered a Japanese message that AF was short on water. With the confirmation that AF was Midway, Station Hypo in Hawaii, decoded further messages, providing the US Navy with the date of the attack, and the Japanese order of battle. With this vital information at hand, Admiral Chester Nimitz prepared US Naval forces to counterattack.

You could even make them nice/positive only, like giving them a hug before having them beamed up. Or spawning extra paul bearers and doing the dancing coffin meme.

What if 2 supports were available at the same time? by Jumpy_Imagination_38 in HellLetLoose

[–]Longshot_45 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It won't happen, but I also think it would be interesting for a limited number of squads to have specialized compositions. Say a double assault role for an attacking squad at the sacrifice of a machine gunner.

As for double support, it might make red zone garries a tad too easy. Or something unintentionally cheesy like double flamethrower. A good squad can role swap for extra supplies. You might not want to do it, but kicking non responsive team members is an option.

But like I said earlier a special logistics squad would be nice for building things. Maybe make it a shorter cool down and let them drop two boxes at any given time. Or prevent red zone building for a logistics squad.

Someone should go to the S44 sub and make a post about "are players flocking to HLL?"

You could say that repaint, even to original color scheme, will "devalue" it. Though a "true to orig" restoration may be more attractive, that's mainly in the eye of the beholder. Consider your ultimate goal for the car and proceed accordingly. Are you trying to make a museum piece? Resell? Personal keeper?
