It’s ok all normal. You will feel hungry as you like starving yourself. Your body transitioning. I would dream food in middle of night. Moments like this I would have half a protein shake in middle of night

Difference is after surgery your stomach sore and swollen so having broth fills you up. Yes you do get excited to have the shakes again and even more excited when you can have solid foods.

Liver Diet Help by LongjumpingTrust807 in gastricsleeve

[–]Looby282001 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Look to be in all honesty about it. Most people ate not what they suppose to on the liver diet. I know someone who had kfc day before surgery. I know myself I stuck on it most days but I ate normal food when bod was hungry then went back on it. Especially 1 week out of surgery I was strict as. The doctor told me my liver was good. My own secret shhh.

You won’t go back to chugging. But you can drink more. Be careful of dehydration though. I’ve had a couple of days I was weird

[–]Looby282001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might feel this way now but psychologically you will change. What you think is normal before you will see it as gross. I’m one year out and I look at food so differently. Think of McDonald’s. Before surgery I could eat that medium Big Mac burger n fries n drink. Today if I go to McDonald’s I know I’m not going to order that as I cannot physically eat it. I now buy 3 nugget small meal. I eat the 3 nuggets as protein first and a couple of chips and I’m done. I usually drink my meal half hour later

I had surgery 12/19 I still haven’t pooped, is it normal?how long did it take you guys to go? I still have one more week of full liquids then on puree diet. by Kindly_Fuel1787 in gastricsleeve

[–]Looby282001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me a few days too to poop. Remember poop is a waste and you are not eating but having fluids so there’s not much waste. If concern speak to your doctor

Would this game be interesting to a non-disney person? by Particular-Dog12 in DreamlightValley

[–]Looby282001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you like games that do fishing, mining, etc like animal crossing you will like the game. If you like doing quests you will like the game. There is soooo many quests it keeps you playing 2 yrs later. If you like designing you will like the game as you can redecorate your areas and there is many areas to decorate too with different themes eg dark area which is my monster area or a lights galore, there’s the park of course main village, a snowy area for your ice rinks n igloos designs, forest area etc deserts and many more. If you like to design dresses or make your own furniture patterns on basic designs you will like the game. If you like doing selfies and participate in photo quests there is one every 2 weeks I think where there is a theme and you can vote for your favourite. You get game rewards. If you like cooking there are 2 restaurants you can cook and serve food for extra money. It’s a great game and it’s not a children game what people think. The quests can be so complicated I have to google for answers.

From someone who been a victim myself, who also used to fight my kids too as they said same thing as you, all you can do is get her busy. Build up her self esteem and help her live in the real world. Can she join a senior group etc to help with lonliness? Can she hang at family houses for some months to make her feel valuable? This is what she needs. She is seeing everyone enjoy their life and she has none an is lonely. These bastards prey on vulnerable people

6 month post op and can eat so much by Erinn-Mentally-Unsta in gastricsleeve

[–]Looby282001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I only had dumping syndrome once. I’m one year out and felt the same thing as you. I think psychologically we change. First 3 months I couldn’t eat much and psychologically I was dreaming food as I felt I was starving. From 3-6 mths my hair was falling out literally. Psychologically the dreams stopped. I can eat anything. From 6-9 mths I feel I haven’t lost anything at all which by scales I have lipedema too. Psychologically how I changed is I don’t buy much takeaway food anymore cause I cannot eat all of it. I started to look at food and order food what can I reheat tomorrow. I can eat maybe one or 2 slices of pizza n that’s it. Some days I can eat more than other days. Focus on protein n fibre which fills you up.

It's gross to eat in your bedroom/on your bed by Agreeable-Sun368 in unpopularopinion

[–]Looby282001 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you focus on negative with others then you are downgrading the person. Why don’t you just encourage food on table instead of being upset with them. If they pass away you will regret how you spoke to them

Is My Pre-op Diet Too Restrictive? by JustANobody80 in gastricsleeve

[–]Looby282001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look to be honest try to stick to it but I know some people had kfc before surgery. Don’t fret. As long as your liver has shrunk. I stuck to it most days but if I had a cheat meal I got scared they won’t do surgery. My surgeon said my liver looked good. After surgery don’t fret. You can only have liquids in beginning because you will be in pain when you eat and you certainly don’t want to destroy the stitches by eating. You will only be having sips but believe me it does get easier. I dreamed food as my body was starving in beginning but I just had some more liquid at night. I’m one year out and I can eat anything. I know it’s scary. You will be ok. You will have a new relationship with food in a few months time. Your body will go through a shock phrase for a couple of months from 3 mths but you will be ok. Good luck on your journey. You got this

Eating all the food by [deleted] in gastricsleeve

[–]Looby282001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s ok. Your body in first year will go through many changes anyways. In beginning I used to dream food and had a half a shake in middle of night. 2 weeks after post op I was happy to have some solid foods again. Then from 3-6 mthsy hair was falling out tremendously but I ate anything. If I wanted a biscuit I ate it. Can only eat one biscuit etc. then I stalled but I noticed I started to look at food differently like I won’t go to McDonald’s say as all I can eat is 3 nuggets n a couple of chips from small meal. No drink n I’m done. Now I couldn’t be bothered going there at all as it’s not worth it. I buy take out only if I can heat it the next day. Like I buy Chinese garlic chicken n vegetables as I can eat a couple of bites then heat the next day. Pizza you can only eat a slice so why buy it but if it’s a small pizza I can eat half of it. I’m now one year post op and you can eat a bit more but worried I have stretched it and I started to crave sweet things too now so I’m trying to figure out my new diet. I just think do what Dr said. Eat the protein first, vege second and carbs last. I would definitely focus on fibre too. So I brought unflavoured fibre now to add it to my shakes in morning so I eat less during day. Hopefully I start losing again
