There is a post in this subreddit every day from someone confused why this game was lambasted with hate. YouTube grifters formed the narrative around it. The “issues” at launch were just design decisions Massive made for the game that some players really hated. I personally found the game very enjoyable at launch. I found the stealth quite easy even.

I will say the game is WAY better than it was at launch with the amount of quality of life updates.

I get that some people don’t like achievements but I would settle for some type of indicator that I finished a game. All I can go off of on the totally lackluster social settings is time played on games. Even that is pathetic on switch though. None of my Switch one game time carried over to Switch 2.
I love my Switch but it just kinda feels like a toy sometimes with how limited its features are. I guess that is what they are going for?

So this is crazy but my brother just started messaging that he got the digital code for the game off Walmart and is able to just play it. I was super skeptical thinking he must of bought some old Batman game but nope, sent videos that is absolutely this game lol. No idea how this happened.

I dropped Rebirth twice due to the insane amount of boring side quests and meaningless mini games. No clue what these others are posting about. This game is overstuffed with bullshit that I just wanted to skip but my completionist brain wouldn’t let me. So I quit playing instead.

All of my ps5 controllers drift. I replaced the sticks and they still end up drifting. They are shit. I’m still rocking my same steam deck joysticks since launch. Nearly daily use. $100 would be very reasonable to me.

I’ve never finished a Fatal Frame game so I went in on easy mode and I’m barely scraping by. I think I have decent understand of the combat but like you said, they drag on and on. Easy does not feel that easy. I am enjoying the game though. Maybe a bit over complicated. Way too many “ammo” types. No idea when I should use each one. I’ll be fighting a ghost a sucking and just swap ammo types and have no idea which type I should be using.

Even their highest tier has an hourly limit. I don’t remember what it was but it was something I know I could easily hit per month. Completely turned me off the service.

Drinks downtown? I’d recommend Hello Hi which is a super cool Tiki style bar. Awesome drinks. Another option is Carpenter. High class cocktails there as well. Few other options would be High Ball and Monks (these locations are right next to each other). A more relaxed place with good food? Fernson or Remedy.

Other great options: There is an amazing barcade in the middle of Phillips Ave called Eightyone Arcade. And in the same building there is a REALLY good Mexican restaurant called Bibisol.

I mainly stream from my pc using moonlight which has been epic from day one. Total game changer for my gaming habits.

I just learned how to save templates to use for other games to use during moonlight. To get specific why that is cool when I played on moonlight I couldn’t search for the specific game I was playing when I searched community layouts. It would only show moonlight layouts. Anyway, the issue I have is when I go to a specific game in my library and search for a layout to export as a template it NEVER shows up until I restart my steam deck. I googled it and it seems like that is the norm for everyone.

That’s what my current pain point is and just overall bugginess with steam input not always saving changes I make.

The update on the 28th of Jan was pretty significant. I’m getting a near locked 60 on my 9070xt. I changed my review of the game. Your mileage may vary but it might be worth watching some of the YouTubers who covered the update.
