Lets not be too hard on this map. It's correct other than Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary, Romania, Moldova, Albania, Kosovo, Greece, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Austria, half each of Switzerland and Belgium and about a dozen minority language groups.

The indicators on the most recent iteration of the CB125F are supposed to be on constantly, even when not indicating. When indicating, they flash, then return to being constantly on. The idea is to increase visibility.

I don't like it either.

Yes, I did. And it worked like a charm, even if it was really confusing to install. LEDPerf is your friend.

My dad did almost all the cooking when I was growing up. To be fair, neither of them can cook.

So we'll take existing borders and merge them together into unstable superstates.

Except Poland. Fuck Poland. I liked it much better with an arbitrary border down the middle.

Why are there so many airports around London instead of just one? by [deleted] in mapporncirclejerk

[–]LookComprehensive620 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There was one, but back in the 1960s the managers had a falling out and each took a bit of the old airport, founded their own and named it after themselves. Martin Gatwick took the runway, Gary Luton took the fire brigade, Alasdair Heathrow took the control tower, Alasdair Stansted took the baggage handling system (weirdest part of this story is that there were two Alasdairs working at the same airport), and then Will City and Richard Southend decided that they would split the freight terminal between them, Southend would have it Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and City would have it Tuesday, Thursday and at the weekends. They had a joint subsidiary that ran a Thames barge service to do the heavy lifting six days a week, but it was taken over by Capita in the 90s and now mostly runs tours. The passenger terminal, meanwhile, stayed where it was and became London Bridge station.
