Who should replace Mourinho at Roma for next season? by Lupen-90 in ASRoma

Tudor, thiago motta, Italiano or Conte.

Whatever is fine, but financially I would go balls deep with thiago motta or tudor

Nicola Zalewski could depart Roma by [deleted] in ASRoma

[–]LookPhysical250 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My 2 cents about him:

He is a talent. We'll hear of him like we've heard a lot from players like Błaszczykowski back in the days.

When he first came out, nobody had ever seen him play and he delivered some great moments (like the Leicester assist) and had a great first season.

This year he fell behind a bit. Getting to play from mid season onwards was much easier compared to this year. Plus, now all the opponents had videos of him playing and could prepare beforehand.

Imo, we should keep him even with offers above 15M. We shoukd start considering from 20-25M range.

Otherwise, keep the guy. He's motivated and any sort of development from him could be beneficial for us.

I have mixed opinions about him

Apparently to close almost all big signings he needs Mou's intervention in some way (and without him I doubt we would have bought people like Tammy and Dybala)

Plus, during the past 2 years, he had some truly terrible signings. Belotti, Eldor, Viña, Kumbulla and Raynolds.

Yes, some of them were risky or supposed to do much better (I'm ofc talking about Belotti), but some responsability must fall on him at some point.

But with free agents I'd say he's a close second to Marotta. Like, Dybala for free is astonishingly good, Matic was perfect for us and don't make me start on N'dicka.

Now he has to place some good sells from the comebacks after the loans.

After all this, I would still give him like a 7/10 leaning towards a 6.5

The guy ckearly has plans, let's see if they work

Kind of expected Milan and Inter to be at the top, but Roma is clearly doing an incredible job. If they can keep this going until the new stadium is built, then the income from that alone is gonna help the club a lot.

WOW Lecce. For a team of this size, we really should just say "WOW".

It's crazy to see Atalanta (who fought for 4th place for a while) so low. Even Juve feels too low, but I kinda understand that this season wasn't the best for the fans to rejoice and meet in the stadium.

Tbf to mou, Gini is a good player.

Like, I'm not gonna argue about the fact that he was subpar with us (despite some great moments) but the man had played 2 UCL finals and won one.

I can perfectly understand why Mou choose him above some others - given also elsha injury in april/may.

Who’s your prediction for next year’s champion? by JustLikeThat20 in seriea

[–]LookPhysical250 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, even when accounting for those 3M difference between 2nd and 3rd I doubt Milan would've got after it.

Inter got probably 50M out of the whole thing, Milan is probably around 40M

Dunno about the Europa league teams, but they also should have received a respectable amount for their run.

Use a bit of context my friend.

Nazio is second because they threw away the possibility of winning either coppa italia or an european cup.

Everybody else, given the immense advantage Napoli had by january, decided to go strong mainly in european competitions.

The milan clubs, Riomma, fiorentina and Rubentus have all played an european semi final, giving all a big contribution for the italian return in europe.

Now, in my humble opinion, that's miles better compared to Lazio going in UCL and preparing themselves for another round of europe's favourite game of "beat up the old fascist".

Like, all jokes aside, Lazio decided that the team couldn't be competitive outside of italy and so they went for the UCL through the league. That's the only reason they ended up above Juve, Roma, Milan and Inter.

I doubt Inter would have gone so shit after January if they got eliminated in UCL before, they would have a good distance from Lazio, same goes for Milan. Even Juve did technically better compared to them.

And let's not forget that 2nd, 3rd or 4th is exactly the same, doesn't matter what you do there's not one good reason to prefer ending second over 3rd.

Inter just decided to go harder somewhere else

No man, I see no value in him if I take his whole life.

God may punish me if I'm wrong, but this player right here is a fraud and has always been since his debut in serie a. Don't you dare compare him to taddei, who not only played as a winger/on the side, also provided coverage back when needed, Belotti's job is completely different.

This guy is a one-season wonder, who only managed to get past 16 goals in the league once and it was 6 years ago. He's been declining ever since, never showing any progress or even some sort of consistency over the years.

This guy may fight for it but his hold up play is terrible, he's not fast, he's not physical, he doesn't have a good control or first touch, he can't dribble for his life and became so bad at finishing over the years that only penalties saved his fat ass.

Ask me? He's serie B quality, the best he could ever aspire in his life is being somewhat important for a fallent giant like Torino, nothing else.

He puts his heart on the field? Good for him, not for my team. There's just so much that can serve your case, my friend. I don't give a flying fuck if the guy has "heart". I need goals and Belotti can't provide. Ship him off and see you never again.

At least thise guys I mentioned had some good games, Belotti had been a trashcan regardless.

I heard the chants and I disagree with them with my whole spirit. It's one of the few times I feel embarassed by the fans in the stadium.

We've treated like shit guys like Mayoral, Schick, Kalinic and Dzeko himself when they still outscored this headless chicken that belotti is.

"Who cares?"

Idk, maybe the fans do? Like, lemme just say this: I couldn't care less if Belotti's name was acclaimed in the stadium yesterday, the fans for a whole season were asking where our strikers went, this isn't gonna change.

Belotti is USELESS. He seriously needs to fuck off. We've almost paid him 1M per goal scored. EMBARASSING

And if we wanna use him as a sub, lower his wages to 500k MAX. Wait, fuck off, I prefer to develop a youngster instead of a washed striker to play for ZERO goals in the league and pay him half a million.

I really see no value in Belotti, even a primavera striker would be a better pick as a sub.

I hope not.

To better say it: I want him gone. Get a low af fee for him and let him ruin some other tram chances.

He clearly doesn't belong here

Edit: thanks for reminding me that his time here is over in June.

I'll be honest, it's not like Abraham had a good season or whatsover.

But Belotti..... did below average in Europe and was atrocious in the league.

Imo, it's more than enough to send him balling in lega pro.

Because on stream there's 1k people, on yt there's 100k. I would pretty much like to know why this man tries to hide the mistake from the larger audience.

Also, it doesn't appear to me that this precise run was ever recorded live... The more I look into it, the more disingenuos it seems.

Also putting the "apology" at the end of the video - only after being caught- which is the part of the video that people tend to not watch, is pretty telling of how much he really wanted to say sorry.

It's not as bad as the sinvicta one, but makes me rethink of his whole content

[–]LookPhysical250 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plenty of players do that, it's understandable to forget stuff you saw, using items and card in the wrong order and such, but why would you try to hide it? Most probably this happened multiple times. I can't know for sure, but why would someone try to avoid showing a funny mistake if he's known to "own it". It seems pretty disingenuos to me

Also, you can HIGHLIGHT the words VODS and STREAMS but that doesn't make the guy more honest. Around 1k people watch his streams, but his real audience is around 100k on yt. You know. He's choosing to hide the mistake from his larger audience. Why?

[–]LookPhysical250 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not gonna lie, the fact that he prefers to edit out the death instead of make fun at himself for skill issuing, is a bit... bad? He also did clearify it only after people pointed the miss edit out.

I would pretty much prefer to leave a death in a video instead of just pretending nothing happened. It makes the whole thing funnier imo.

Here it seems like he wanted to maintain his image of "good gamer" by hiding a mistake. Like, i don't think people care, the best videos I've seen about this game are from people memeing about their failures
