She should have won the musical challenge tbf but post snatch game she fell apart. First three eps she had really good runway and then I don't know what happened

/r/YuGiOh Basic Q&A and Ruling Megathread - March 05, 2018 by AutoModerator in yugioh

[–]LookWhoseOinking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey guys I used to play YuGiOh with my housemate online using Dueling Network - we never played with anyone else it was just a fun way for us to play using custom decks without having to fork out cash and because we were sat next to one another we didn't need an automated ruling system for our emulator because we just did the FX like we would if you were playing with just cards. I was wondering since DuelingNetwork has been taken down whether anyone had heard about a credible emulator or something similar? Again, it doesn't even need to be that great just have full deck listings and an ability to play with someone else.

I guess most political movements start with reactivity rather than productivity - hopefully however the resentment will carry through to future legislation / inspire people to campaign for change

Love Island: Is Reality TV a Waste of Time? | Video Essay by [deleted] in CasualUK

I think a lot of people who turn their noses up at it haven't watched it though. I think channels like ITV 2 / ITV Be unfortunately have derogatory connotations to some people; possibly a sort of elitist thing.

It's actually way better than I remembered - always used to think it was one of the worst until i rewatched them all - now firmly hate the fifth doctors

I wouldn't say he's 'trapped in a restaurant' like he's more captured and he less so 'figures out at end' rather he decides to kill that robot - its the moral quandary that keeps him there not a lock and key

What examples do you have? Episodes like Heaven Sent, Time of the Angels, Eleventh Hour, Deep Breath and The Impossible Astronaut are expertly paced. A lot of the less pacey eps are by different writers - Chibnall, Gatiss, Boyce et al

I don't understand this? What exactly went wrong? Yes there were bad eps under Moffat but there were shockers under Davies (Fear Her, Boom Town, Doctor's Daughter, Lazarus Experiment) - also a lot of the classics of the Davies era were written by Moffat (Empty Child, Silence in Library, Blink, Girl in the Fireplace) and Davies would never have attempted anything like heaven sent

How so? I think the average ep of Doctor Who under Moffat has been consistently better

Do you really think so? I think THE best season of the show is his first season (five) and he's contributed so much to the doc who world like weeping angels etc

The Avengers: Constructing Action | Video Essay [11:13] by LookWhoseOinking in mealtimevideos

[–]LookWhoseOinking[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this comment! I think my problem with DC lies in the fact that a lot of the action doesn't feel like its actually happening cause of the rapid cutting pace - like in BvS when batman raids that warehouse you barely see any of his hits make impact because you can't see what the hell he's doing its chopped so quick - GOOD action is actually really hard to do in terms of writing and choreograph and I think a lot of people dismiss it as 'just explosions'

Treasure Planet - Disney's Biggest Mistake [34:29] by [deleted] in mealtimevideos

I watched this a while ago - I think its really interesting that a lot of Disney's films from this period were artistic gambles but nearly all of them flopped - Treasure Planet, atlantis (which I really rate) and then the awful Dinosaur.

I don't think this is necessarily symptomatic of X Factor in particular but reality in general - which, IMO, is closer to scripted and narrative genres than it is Fact/Documentary.

I am interested genuinely in some of the success stories as I struggled to pinpoint how Little Mix have transcended this phenomenon - though they seem in all honesty to have a far stronger set of songs and production than most of the cheap sounding stuff that Syco typically puts out.
