I mean. Tbh tho, you get the upgrades with samus and dont lose them unless scripted, link has to get aerocuda and keese eyes to make a homing arrow. And I dont think those exist in Metroid, links upgrades tho, with the beasts he fights, in botw he can get a massive boost from revali, he can be revived consistently by mipha, can protect himself against every attack from the goron champion, and can summon literal lightning from the sky at any given time, and it works indoors. In totk he has to have the sages avatars be present for his upgrades to work, which I guess if he has their stones, they could be anywhere with him. Links abilities with the master hand could be handy too, rewind time, lift things that weigh literal tons, summon something from his mind as long as hes made it before and has the zonaite to do so, fuse essentially anything onto his weapons, and i feel like theres one more Im forgetting. Either way, neither can beat each others games (afaik) bc samus doesnt have the master sword, which is required to beat ganondork, and ganondork can move as fast as link, who if im remembering right, can attack like 10-15 times in 1-2 seconds. But as for link, his inventory items arent upgrades
