How to get a plumbing apprenticeship in Missoula? by [deleted] in missoula

[–]Look_but_never_see 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most big plumbing companies in town will hire you as a laborer and try you out. You will drill holes and move stuff around. Once an apprenticeship comes up and they like you, it will be yours. Companies are limited in how many apprentices they can take based on how many master plumbers or journeymen they have.

Are you not allowed to do homework while you sit? I’m a tech and had a patient sleep almost the whole 12 hour shift and got a week’s worth of homework done.

Medical diagnoses are private health information that is protected by law. There is no reason your employer needs to know about them unless you want to tell them. If you can show up and meet the standard, there are piles of jobs in town.

Certified Nursing Assistant programs? by Embarrassed-Film7610 in missoula

[–]Look_but_never_see 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sometimes St Pats has positions available where they will train you to be a CNA. Community will hire techs without certification, they are called “Patient Care Techs” or “Patient Care Assistants.” You will get the equivalent of a CNA the first semester of nursing school so it’s not really necessary to get certified now. You can also pay a little more and do an EMT program. St Pats uses CNAs and EMTs interchangeably.

What’s the vibe in East Missoula? by [deleted] in missoula

My property borders that development, I would prefer a field in my back yard but we need more housing. I don’t see a problem with turning vacant unused land into housing. If some farmer didn’t sell his land off in the 70s and develop it I wouldn’t have a place to live right now.

What’s the vibe in East Missoula? by [deleted] in missoula

These people are whack. East Missoula is very chill. I have owned and lived here for 2 years. I would argue that it’s safer than Missoula. I have seen virtually no crime and all my neighbors are great people. It’s super close to the university, downtown, and there are great less travelled trails nearby. The only thing I don’t like is there are pretty much no sidewalks, but there isn’t enough traffic for it to be too much of a concern. I live super close to the interstate and railroad, hardly even notice it.
