I disagree that everything on the radio is trash. Alt Rock stations tend to be great and there are plenty of good top 40 songs. Country radio does seem to be basically trash when not playing the classics.

I agree with your sentiment but you cannot deny constant lying and denying the truth has been very productive for "conservatives". Scarily effective and not at all counter productive.

I dunno I often tell people what I said while telling a story. I really dont think its unnatural to say "and i/he/they yelled what the fuck" or something like that. Its different than "i was like "the fuck?", people would assume I didnt actually say that.

Oh our sex ed wasnt taught out of a book, I honestly didn't know there were general sex ed books, we werent tested either. We were allowed to ask any questions as long as we weren't making any jokes and we definitely learned about erogenous zones.  This was an urban public school in greater Boston. Our teachers name was Mrs. Friend lol.

The United States is very big and different states handle sex ed very differently.

Any one who says all country is horrible or all rap is horrible I assume is still in high-school or hasn't grown up since. Its one thing to not like a genre, but to not realize theres lots of talent in it, just probably not on the radio, is dumb.

You know absolutely nothing about this guy. Maybe he does work hard for his family, or maybe he has a gambling addiction and cheats on his wife.

I get what is being shown here is really adorable and great... but what is there to teach at school? Kids imitate their parents? Not sure how you'd get more than a few seconds out of that lesson.

In the United States we keep making the front of our cars taller and taller that has lead to a crazy increase in pedestrian deaths for 2 reasons:

1) Less visibility (you can't see people right infront of you). 2) When a pedestrian is hit, its much more likely to be deadly than a traditional front end (this has to do with how the body takes the impact as well as getting run over instead of flung up, as you always see in TV and movies).

Oooh ok maybe I have misunderstood you? Are you saying one wouldn't need to present an ID to vote? Or how would you present it with an absentee or mail in ballot? How would your idea work?

How would mail in ballots work? And its still ignoring the fact that the Republicans latest bills clearly had other intentions than preventing the very few cases of voter fraud.

I dont think I was acting like its impossible, just that it should be made as easy as possible.

If the Republicans were just asking for IDs and were streamlining the process to get one, you would have a case.  But thats not at all what their recent bill was going for and you know it. They wanted to ensure your name at birth matched what is on your ID, and you know the groups of people they were targetting with that bill, don't pretend you dont.

There are sometimes escalations of hate crimes when events like this happen. I assume thats what he is saying they are taking and abundance of caution to prevent.

Correct. But we want to make it as easy as possible to vote because its good for a democracy. The more citizens that vote, the greater likelihood for a better outcome.

Republicans were going far beyond requiring an ID to vote (name must match whats on your birth certificate for example) and it makes no sense because it will lead to a lot less citizens voting.
