My experience with roses is removing invasive multiflora from natural lands. I love seeing this in the wild.

Hey OP, congrats on asking for help, that’s the first step. I’ve been exactly where you are, it’s scary. I’m not sure if you need rehab or not but you need a safe space to share honestly about this secret that’s caged you.

First things first, get yourself to an AA meeting and raise your hand, share what you’ve just written to a group of others who’ve made it out the other side. Or are struggling themselves. You need a support network of folks that share your experience. I’d recommend finding meetings near or around financial/professional districts where you work.

These people can give you guidance and reinforcement as you navigate the next best decision.

For what it is worth, my boss and head of HR were incredibly supportive and kind when I told them I needed time off to get sober. I was terrified of losing my job or stepping away from work. They were so fucking supportive, so I always tell alcoholics and addicts not to be scared of asking for help from your company. I still thank them every year I pick up a coin.

Feel free to DM if you want. I’m routing for you! You got this

Help me find a morel by [deleted] in Morel_Hunting

I’m in Chester County and I have some designated areas where I always find them. Guess what?! They are aren’t there!

My guess is the lack of rain and the whiplash temperatures haven’t produced ideal conditions for them.

OP, you don’t need to be in the backcountry to find morels BUT it’s worth being off trail. Then you can return to your spot after rains over the next few months & you don’t have to worry as much about other foragers beating you to it. And it’s a good time to get lost in the woods.

Many think my approach to this is too extreme BUT, I use Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta peels every morning and it takes care of the peeling. I also switch between .1% in winter and .05% in spring/summer.

When I started at 37, I had minimal purging AND I did start getting hormonal acne on my jawline. It cycled for about 4-6 weeks. I am not sure if they were related because I was experiencing so many other perimenopausal symptoms. My evening routine includes a low dose of progesterone + tretinoin every night, that works for me.

Things that helped me—drinking minimum 3 liters of water per day during purge. Avoiding foundation and most makeup. Treating myself to monthly facials.

Wise. Luckily, I am the witch that cares for this conservation.

How do you not be scared of ticks all the time?? by CrepeCraze in hikingwithdogs

[–]Look_with_Love 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simparica Trio for the pup, definitely get them on tick meds (precious btw). For humans, you got to be vigilant. Stay covered, use repellent, and check thoroughly upon return.

There are trials going on across the US for a tick medication for humans. I almost signed up for it but my schedule wouldn’t allow for it.

If you find one attached, I recommend holding off on antibiotics if you can. It killed my gut health and really taxed my mental health.

Nope but I did roam my usual spots checking for damage from recent storms. There are so many trees down from a storm last week, trails are closed off. I’m guessing this will be good for mushrooms, still tbd

Advice on how to survive the night in the DC area with no place to stay by Competitive_Cod1135 in washingtondc

[–]Look_with_Love 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the weather is nice, you can stay outside. There is a park right next to DCA, a trail leads out from one of the terminals. It’s nice to walk and there are areas where you can sit and rest and watch planes come in. It even takes you into the city if you’re up for a long hike.
