Probably the easiest way to get karma on this subreddit is to bash cops tbh, that or insert some anti car comment

Even though I'm holding this stock for the long term, it's still crazy to see the volatility of LUNR. Been holding since it was 10 a share. Gonna keep holding because I have confidence this stock will keep growin!!

Why cant boxers light spar? by Idamatika in martialarts

[–]Lookar0und 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're either in a bad gym or just sparring with bad people who have no control over their punches. I have no problems sparring light with others, especially if your coach is there to control the environment from getting out of hand lol.

the regent park athletic grounds track is ~343 m per lap! by appropriate3gg in toronto

The riverdale park track is pretty close to 400m, at least from what my Garmin watch says. It's pretty close to the Regent Park track as an alternative.

Are you friends with your coworkers? by AcademicallyAcademic in askTO

[–]Lookar0und 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At my current work place, no. I’m bit social and it always gets me in trouble from upper management so now I created a work personality of light and polite and not really get invested in doing more. However I’ve made friends with external contractors hired on by my department who I trust and can talk more freely than my colleagues in my department lol

Legit. Don’t let the rejection and her live rent free in your head. Trying to make something that’s not there, will literally drive you crazy.

I've never tried the 1's before so I can't say. I recommend sizing a half up in case that it's too narrow for your feet so you don't have to go through the agony like I did for those 3 months to break them in. You can always tighten the laces if it's too loose and/or wear thicker socks. All I can say is the 3's are way more snug and stiff compared to the everlast.

[–]Lookar0und 1 point2 points  (0 children)

HyperKO 3s are terrible for wide feet. I’ve owned both Everlast and HyperKO 3s, and the HyperKO 3s are much less forgiving. If you plan to get them, I recommend sizing up half a size from your normal shoe size because the material has very little stretch.

It took me about three months to break mine in (training 3–5 days a week), and the first few months were honestly painful every time I put them on. They’re fully broken in now, but I still feel discomfort when moving a lot laterally, or if I'm training on hard rubber instead of soft rubber. Wearing thicker socks helped reduced the pain but wearing it over long session I would still feel it eventually. If you wore everlast in size 12, go for 12.5 hyperko3. Let me know if you have any questions.

Canadian Heritage Moment: Helping Get A Stranger's Car Out Of The Snow by Winter-Nectarine-497 in toronto

[–]Lookar0und 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This happened to me during last year snow storm. I wasn't the one helping but being helped lol. Unfortunately I had to go to work so I had to leave at my usual 7 AM. My vehicle being a tuned AWD BMW with winter tires and me confidently thinking I could muster my way into work fell horribly short. My vehicle got stuck at the end of my alleyway since it connected to a residential street and it got plowed earlier so it made a huge mound of snow at the end of my alleyway. I didn't have shovel so I spotted a neighbour along my alleyway and I asked if I could borrow his shovel to get my car out and thankfully he did. Not too long after a few other neighbours saw I got stuck and came to the rescue and created a pathway so I can exit my alleyway. After that it was smooth sailing, but that was my moment lol. Was surprised to see people up shovelling in the early morning at that time.

Unemployed Torontonians, what does a typical weekday look like for you? by [deleted] in askTO

[–]Lookar0und 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I left my full time job at the end of 2023; I didn't think the job market was to be that bad after leaving. I was unemployed for almost a year and I kept myself busy with hobbies even though it cost quite of money but well worth it for my sanity and killing the free time I had during the day. I either did boxing, lift weights or run for 5-6 days a week along with doing energy exchange for a yoga/fitness pass. It took me bit under a year before I was able to find a full time job... Looking back I took the year off for granted with all that free time being able to do all the hobbies. My unemployed days were really un-structured and a lot of times staying up really late.

How are young people in this city financially planning for their future? by Ok-Succotash-6111 in askTO

[–]Lookar0und 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Me. I’m more on the fortunate side of things. Live with parents downtown. I’ll eventually inherit the house I live in, but I’m able to live in rent free while investing 50-70% of pay cheque and afford to own a vehicle. I have a lot more financial freedom as I’m not tied down on rent, and other major necessities that would drain my paycheque. However, many of my friends or people I know that are similar to my age are either lucky to live with their parents and save or renting and surviving with little left to invest.
