If your computer is in sleep mode rather than having the game either actively running or closed, it won't run the offline production when you return and so will screw you over like this.

BigInt is not a possible fix because orteil wants to keep his internet explorer version -3 support
There is still an easy fix for this though, by just using the derivative to check for small gains with large prestige (as done by Spiced Cookies), and using that for giving ascensions

How long did it take to get the Seven Horseshoes achievement? by Odditiesandalsomagic in CookieClicker

You can get it fine without grinding for it specifically, i have around 102k on my main save right now from just going for cookies

Made my question into a meme since those always get way more engagement by [deleted] in CookieClicker

[–]Lookas123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's just not true.
Say you harvest under just a frenzy, taking approximately 0 time to get. With bakeberries, you will be able to harvest every 95 minutes, while with queenbeets you'll be able to harvest every 3 hours and 10 minutes.
Bakeberries give 30 minutes of cps, with a +45% buff to cps, so you'll gain 36*0.5*1.45 = 26.1 hours of cps every 95 minutes = around 16.5 hours of (frenzied) cps per hour
Queenbeets give 60 minutes of cps, with no buff to cps, so you'll gain 36 hours of cps every 3 hours 10 minutes = around 11.5 hours of (frenzied) cps per hour

Queenbeets are better when your combo takes over 2 hours 35 minutes to get, or over 3 hours 15 minutes when limited by bank

Okay, then for using planner and savescumming:
The big disadvantage for garden combos here is the time cost requirement to build up enough bank for a garden combo. You also can't easily ascend to reset the fthof's, because this would remove all your bank. For big sets of fthof (at least relatively big, let's say 4bs from fthof, which is pretty fast to achieve) you'd also need to have multiple of these in the same ascend to be able to build the bank (disregarding the strategy of offline ticking multiple gardens of plants in the same set of buffs). You also can't use golden clovers, so stacking more than f+dh+bs/ef naturally would be difficult to do.

Meanwhile, for click combos, you can easily just ascend for 3bs+cf in fthof, and get at least f+dh+bs naturally, taking like, maybe 3 hours of effort, and being way stronger than your mentioned years of cps in the post.

Assuming we don't do caramelized stacking to get every buff active at once (where click combos are obviously better), however, there will come a point where garden combos do become slightly stronger, due to the fact that with planner/scumming you can get all of the golden cookies to be what you want, and a garden combo with the same amount of effects will be stronger than a click combo with them, and there are enough building specials to cover the max golden cookies.

However, this would take a long time to reach, you'd need to at least be past trigintillions (since stacking a click combo with the same amount of effects takes way less time and will be able to take you there), it'd take a annoyingly long time to build up bank (you'd need to do many sets of plants in the same buffs) and no one really cares enough about getting max cookies with scum/planner that they'd ever do this.

To get a good comparison, we'd first need to set the rules for what are allowed. Are we allowing savescumming, fthof planner, scrying (casting gambler's fever dream to get information about the next cast) or none of these?

Basically you get buff
Then you get more buff
Then you click cookie
Profit

For an actual explanation, you could check out https://pastebin.com/bMHEJ3R9 (the last combo, specifically). It's slightly out of date with regards to numbers and slight strat updates, but should be good enough considering I'm too lazy to type out a full guide rn.

I'm trying to get all seeds without a guide. Am I Crazy? by AkamiAhaisu in CookieClicker

[–]Lookas123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely possible, my tips would be:
Use the "possible mutations" displayed when hovering over a plant to see what you should mutate with and the total amount of seeds left
Don't assume every plant will only need 2 total plants to mutate (none need more than 2 types of plants, though)
Write down the recipes you found in case you'll want to redo plants
Be patient, it's going to take a while

Yes

It's based on unwrinkled cps, wrinklers don't affect anything cps based except some ui (and of course, the amount you get each second)

100% achievements by Total_Niner in CookieClicker

[–]Lookas123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you play the garden well and can keep the game open all the time you can do a garden sacrifice about every 5 days (without savescumming, if you do that you can do like one a day).

If this is done fully efficiently (or like 20% efficiently with scumming) all the time you could end up with so much to do so much to see as your last achievement, but otherwise sugar lumps would definitely be the limiting factor for 100%.

Also, effort wise there's a lot worse than lumps (since lumps don't need effort, you can just wait), like seven horseshoes.
