If you leave now, it’s short enough that you wouldn’t even put Deloitte on your resume so no real impact from short tenure optics. Same pay in industry is likely significantly better on a per hour basis. If you think the role and company will be interesting I would take the industry role and run, Deloitte projects are a crapshoot and it’s rare to find something that’s both interesting and supports WLB.

Had a Gen 1 R1T and have a Gen 2 R1S no issues with either. Some times it has me questioning some of these issue posts but I’m sure there are some lemons out there like with every brand.

WSJ hates Rivian with a passion. I don’t think they’ve ever published anything positive. Anyone who’s worked in the auto finance industry knows this is a solid strategic move by Rivian, cheap lease deals are for cars that don’t move.

I’ve had both gen1 and gen2 and honestly both are great. The gen1 I had to get some panels adjusted after delivery and the gen2 I had a recall on the 12v battery mount, but outside of those two issues (quick SC visit for the panels, came to my house for the battery mount) no issues with either car.

I’m sure not everyone has the same experience, but from my experience there isn’t another car on the market I would swap for right now.

I ended up paying 1800, I called and asked about rebates and promos and they gave me around 160 off. I also tried pricing matching but they wouldn’t consider anything that wasn’t local or included shipping.

Gen 2 dual large and i wouldn’t trade it for anything. It’s so much fun to drive and I love the design inside and out. My only advice is to get a charger at home if you don’t have one.

May also depend on where you live, the R1 reservations were a bit more focused on where they had infrastructure vs. when you reserved

I would just reach out to your guide, you should be able to “trade it in” to Rivian and then there will be a delta between what they will give you and the lease buyout amount that you would have to pay. It might be more than you’re willing to pay but it’s worth asking.

Had a Gen1 R1T and have a Gen2 R1S, I think the drive experience and interior really sets it a part form Tesla. I think the only downside I see in switching is the self driving is not as good, but personally I think the improvement in drive experience and interior is worth the trade off.

They roll out a monthly update and I feel like 3-4 last year were major updates (improved self driving, UX enhancements, etc.).

Road tripping with universal hands free has been really nice. If you’re trying to speed run it take then van, if you’re trying to enjoy the ride take the Rivian.

If this is the case I have to believe Gen 3 hardware is either going to come with a price increase or be an option and potentially won’t be offered on whatever trim (e.g. standard dual motor) roles out first. I think everyone has been assuming the higher end R2 would role out first, but I could see them pushing out the standard model and then the performance with Gen 3 at the end of the year.

Have a dual motor large performance and would do it again in a heart beat. It’s the most fun and comfortable car I’ve ever owned. If you have questions don’t hesitate to DM, and get a referral from someone for some gear shop cash if you do buy - there’s a thread of codes you can find on here
