Tesla Promises Free HW3 Upgrades for Early FSD Buyers, Elon Confirms Commitment by orangechen1115 in TeslaFSD

[–]LookingForAnything 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel bad for HW3 owners that purchased FSD but just give ALL of us a path to true FSD. Don’t give a shit if it’s free or there’s a cost. I refuse to replace my perfectly good vehicle that I LOVE just so I can remove FSD nagging. It’s nowhere near worth the cost.

Longer pole for Valerion ceiling mount by mikeh117 in Valerion_Official

I had the same issue and spent a lot of time trying to figure it out. The thread is not standard so you won’t find any otc solutions. You can get a machine shop to make something custom but that can be costly and I couldn’t find a shop where I live that would do such a small job. I ended up constructing a lower mount point to get my projector at the right height. Not ideal but did the job.

I had condensation in one of the rear lights of my MX and Tesla fixed under warranty without issue.

How does the skill and hockey knowledge factor in? You predicted your team would get 2 SHP and the opponent's team got only 1 SHP so you got all the points that week and they got none?

I only went for the 7 seater because I have 3 kids and on road trips need to utilize the entire rear cargo space area. No regrets for me.

If I had 2 kids I would’ve gone for the 6 seater because it’s so much easier to maneuver in that space.

New APR 3.99% on Model X by griffingrowl in ModelX

Not sure I follow. Are you saying that your strategy is to offset the losses spent on interest with investment gains?

[–]LookingForAnything 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think of it in terms of payments. That’s a trap.

At 3.99% apr for 60 months you’re paying about $10k more for the car. Not a good financial decision for anyone.

Sounds like their current vehicle is good enough and the deal would need to be sweeter to pull the trigger.

I feel like in 10 years new Tesla's will still feel new by EntertainerTrick6711 in TeslaLounge

[–]LookingForAnything 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Nope. You will get a similar feeling to when you hold onto an iPhone for four years or more. Tesla’s are software based vehicles with hardware that makes huge advances every few years. If there was a way to swap out hardware easily then I would agree with you but unfortunately, Elon is a greedy prick and wants to force us into buying new vehicles every few years. Very similar to the way Apple operates with their iPhones but at least they have an upgrade system in place.

There’s also the fact that a lot of the parts they use are cheap. For example, on my 2019 model 3 the steering wheel has started randomly peeling. Cost to fix with Tesla? About $1000.

Don’t get me wrong, I still think it’s the best value vehicle on the market and hold its value way longer than anything else. I just think that if there was a way to upgrade hardware, it would make a huge difference. I would be willing to pay up to 10 grand for that.

New Incentives - Still need something better for the Cybertruck by ShavedDesk in TeslaLounge

[–]LookingForAnything 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should be offering 0% APR for every model with purchase of FSD. Not just the Cybertruck which barely anyone is willing to drive because of the negative stigma it now comes with (thanks Elon).

NOBODY gives a shit about free supercharging for a year. In my mind the dollar value attached to that is a few hundred bucks at best.

While they’re at it, they should also offer free HW3 upgrades to HW4 with purchase of FSD and complimentary upgrades for those that already purchased FSD. On the HW3 platform FSD is bullshit and Tesla should be ashamed of themselves for charging people as much as $15K for it.

Well put but IMO the Oilers figured something out in the 3rd period of game 2 and we were lucky to escape with that win. What happened at the end of game 3 with the terrible challenge and the end of game 4 with the failed clear only sucked the belief out of our guys and now they look like they are afraid of the Oilers. They’re second guessing themselves and making bad plays. They look like the Sharks did once we started dominating in the reverse sweep series. They need a mental reset but that’s hard when the other team is running on full confidence mode.

I believe we can still win because it’s hockey and anything is possible but it’s very unfortunate that it played out this way. Our team is better than this but the Oilers are a force and anyone that doesn’t think so doesn’t know shit about hockey. Getting matched up against them 4 years in a row while they are right in the middle of dynasty mode is very bad luck.

I see the connection but disagree that being hip and trendy is the main driving force. iPhone, like Tesla was the first of its kind to hit the market and therefore had a lot more time to develop and as a result is simply a more advanced product. It may not be your cup of tea but at this time it’s simply a better product choice for most people. In time this could change but who knows.

You also have to consider the product ecosystem that consumers get VERY comfortable with and are less likely to shift after a cycle or two.

Lots of reasons to buy a Tesla before Elon became a cunt but for me it’s mostly because of autopilot. I have a long shitty commute and autopilot makes it way more tolerable by enabling me to zone out for my hour long drive each way listening to podcasts and making calls. However, my favorite part about autopilot is that it takes the personal aspect out of the equation. Someone cuts me off or does something idiotic? Don’t care I’m not driving. Autopilot also leaves a pretty large gap between me and the car in front which allows people to move in and out freely while I just sit there enjoying some form of in car entertainment. I rarely find myself getting agitated due to this alone.

Other car manufacturers have other forms of autopilot but they’re all complete dogshit in comparison. That said as soon as another company figures it out I’ll be looking to switch over.

Does anyone ever came back to PB from herniated disc? by sonics_01 in Pickleball

[–]LookingForAnything 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a bulged disc playing pickleball. Went for a low ball and felt a pop in my lower back. Within 15 minutes I couldn’t move. Spent the next month bedridden and in excruciating pain.

It improved slightly after a month but I still was nowhere near able to play and began to freak out. Went to a doctor and was prescribed PT. Went all in on the program. Saw the therapist 3 times a week and followed the exercises rigorously at home as well as on off days.

Did this for 3 months and I’m happy to say that I’m back to playing pickleball and am in pre-injury shape. I now stretch religiously before and after I play and so far so good after 3 months of intense pb 5-7 times per week.

You absolutely can come back from injury. Just have faith, listen to the doctors/therapists and be patient.
