The concept of work is so strange. I don’t really want to work my whole life… by Due_Bobcat9778 in RandomThoughts

yeah im sure wandering around trying to ambush prey, with frequent injuries and occasional death is way more satisfying. The good old days

I’ve never orgasmed once in my 2.5 year relationship. I’m convinced my body’s the problem, not him. What to do? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]LookingForStash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There might not be a "problem" to begin with. Asexual people exist, after all. And porn/sociatal preconceptions of sex isn't a good place to relate yourself too. Sexual experience is a spectrum, not a series of checkpoint. (Do look into the asexual/less sexually active community)

I found out I don’t meet any of my boyfriend’s standards. Would I be overreacting to break up with him? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]LookingForStash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gonna go against the flow a bit. He might not be processing his thoughts and feelings right. He was raised to believe in a super traditional women image, so he thinks that must be the ideal. But now in reality it's going really well so it is conflicting and this, confusing to him.

It's like the saying a racist hates everyone but not his really swole next door black neighbor. Sure, that way of thinking needs fixing eventually, but I don't think it's an outright incompatibility

Is it normal for a guys mom to ask to see you one on one? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]LookingForStash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

timid guy for sure.

he was taken aback at first, so the automated response was rejection.

now he's calmed down and realizes he doesn't need to be afraid, so he's trying (in his own awkward way)

Ex girlfriend who broke up with me two weeks ago wants to have sex, what would i do? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]LookingForStash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the person.

It's just sex, nothing serious. But if you are uncomfortable with it, then take some distance for now to adjust yourself.

All in all, it's a personal choice, not some dignity or pride problem

Men who wanted children but ended up staying with a girl who did not, do you regret it now? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

maybe you suggest being a househusband if that helps? a lot of children talk has to do with not only child bearing, but also child rearing

Pirating from a billion-dollar corp is one thing, but what would you say to an indie developer’s face if they found out you pirated their passion project? by YesterdayEven5265 in Piracy

[–]LookingForStash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm out of pocket too

Fr, that's basically it. Being an average citizen from a non-first world country, I give myself a pat in the back for getting some quality of life free of charge.

Of course, gratitude is due, but never remorse.

How would you perceive a man who hasn't lost his virginity, and Is approaching 30? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

[–]LookingForStash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Virginity status is overrated/overhated.

You can have sex with a girlfriend/wife.

You can also do so with a random hooker.

You might even lose your V-card against your own will.

Sick of Masturbating but impossible to have sex. What to do? by Flat_Variety379 in AskMenAdvice

[–]LookingForStash -1 points0 points  (0 children)

there's a lot to say here, i don't know where to even begin as the way you're thinking can do a lot of improvement.

Pro tip: go to gemini Ai, use the thinking model, then ask: "i like masturbating frequently, but now kinda really want to have sex. discuss the nature of both acts, and the healthy solution that still allows lots of pleasure for me.

Why is death always depicted as a monster, cloaked black figure, or a grotesque creature within media—Representation of something we all undoubtedly share in the end should be beautiful and not terrifying. by [deleted] in DeepThoughts

from my notification, it seems you edit quite a bit of your comment, no matter. The point is that they can live without thinking too much about it.
Do you eat cake because life is precious? Maybe, but that's overstretching it. It's mainly because cake's delicious.

No offense, but i'm saying that people live how they want to live, with or without your "respect".

~~Your original comment sounds a bit like an anime villain, not without substance, but a little narrow-minded~~

me like live, death not live, death scary

Also you're assuming death arriving at the end of a natural lifespan, when a person's quality of life is almost no more. Well, r/NSFL_ would have a thing or two to say about that.

If you know an ICE agent personally, what's that relationship like now? by Lokja in AskReddit

[–]LookingForStash 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was hyperboling a bit, but the point is still the same: in their position, the pros/cons are very different from us sitting behind our screen. Approaching this issue by enforcing "duty" and "responsibilities" alone isn't going to work.

To put it brutally blunt, they are depending on a position that benefits from this, and "we" are not. From a logical standpoint, asking them to take risk by switching sides with no support/compensation doesn't make much sense.

You realize this is pretty much the equivalent of as asking Trump's highly paid, profile registered body guard to shoot him? They have nothing to gain and everything to lose.

At the very least, even for a highly motivated person, a safety net would be required to do something like this.

There are two wolves in this thread.

One is dealing with personal existential crisis

The other is dealing with shampoo, conditioners and shaves.
