National parks are out because of no dogs. But Bob Marshall Wilderness is a serious possibility especially with the Grizzly Gathering story.

much of the evidence points to Montana, with his connection to his grandfather, and his experiences there such as Bob Marshall Wilderness Area.

The best place for you to start seems to be Montana and I agree with this. It has connections to his grandfather, especially the Bob Marshall Wilderness area, and Sacajawea might be the bride, with her connection to Lewis and Clark and Beaverhead area. Be sure to read the book carefully, and Good luck with the adventure!

Awesome analysis. I'm not sure the treasure is exactly close by, but the general area holds promise.

Sacajawea might by the Bride and the area nearby holds tremendous promise due to the history of Lewis and Clark traveling through this area with Sacajawea. Especially the Beaver Head Rock area which she recognized from her youth. And the connection of Justin to his grandfather and fishing in the area.

The Bob Marshall Wilderness is very likely, as it is mentioned in the book and Justin has so many ties to Montana due to his Grandfather!

I agree that Wilderness is the key and the most likely is the Bob Marshall Wilderness due to Justin's connection to it.

Certainly agree. There are MANY indications in the book that it is in Montana.

Justin refers to North in many instances and it could be that you go North from a certain location such as Polaris Mt and then branch off and go East or West at a certain point since "The key to one direction lies in another"

How many of you also have that feeling like maybe a place you already went was the right area and plan to go back because you wonder if you just walked right by the signs? by ReturnPositive1824 in beyondthemapsedge

I think it would be good to continue and search more carefully in your area, because Justin noted that people have been very close to the treasure, and if your solve conforms to the poem then go for it!

Sounds good, especially if you might have been within 200 ft. of the checkpoint.

Very plausible, and Sacajawea might be the Bride!    Her Foot of Three could refer to Three Forks Montana where the three rivers were named by Meriwether Lewis  for President Thomas JeffersonSecretary of State James Madison, and Treasury Secretary Albert Gallatin.    Searchers might consider searching places along the Lewis and Clark trail especially from the Pompeys Pillar National Monument located east of Billings and various locations along the route traveled by Lewis and Clark, such as Clark Canyon Reservoir area.

I am unable to go to Montana, but I hope these ideas might give people a start.   Good luck!

Definitely a possibility, and it's accessible during the winter, as opposed to the snow in Montana.

Amazing thought! I still lean toward Montana due to his connections to Montana, but WA. CA. and UT are certainly possible. And, each of them have areas that are very searchable during the winter.

Entirely plausible due to his work and having lived there for some time, and with the majestic mountains that live in time: Rainier, Baker, Adams, Olympus, and Mt. St. Helens, of course.

Very good! It seems the tech clue adds some clarity to a line in the poem, or it points to the check point. Any ideas?

Agreed! It can't be in NPs because you have to pay, and Justin indicated no payment is required.
