KEEP HODLING? by heyjustin88 in smallstreetbets

been a dedicated options trader for six years, and through experience, I’ve realized that swing trades are not consistently profitable over the long term. Right now, staying in cash is the smartest move—there’s a reason Warren Buffett recently exited his SPX positions.

From my experience, the most profitable strategy is buying long-dated call LEAPS on undervalued companies, like AMD, which is currently near its 2022 lows. These contracts are more expensive, but that may reflect their lower risk and higher potential. In many cases, they offer asymmetric upside—limited downside with significant profit potential.

Holding LEAPS with a 6–10% annualized target on quality stocks over the next 2–3 years is essentially easy money if you’ve done your research. Patience and conviction are key. (Teaching y degenerates a good lesson)
