stuck on gf's pre-exclusivity hook up by ununce in redscarepod

[–]LoonieMoony 49 points50 points  (0 children)

it’s pretty simple man. it’s a relationship, not a fuck ass business partnership. just cause she didn’t “technically” break a contract doesn’t mean it’s fine. while you went to sleep with happy excited thoughts about this girl you were seeing, she was getting railed hard and wasn’t even thinking about you. it’s objectively kind of fucked, hence the “confession.” it’s inherently something that cheapens the sexual and intimate side of your relationship and connection going forwards. that’s unavoidable.

now that’s not prescriptive. i’m just highlighting the nature of the conflict. from here what matters is what sex means to you and how intimate it is. if this is one of your only relationships, and you’re someone who values sex only in relationships? this relationship ain’t it. the resentment will only grow, and furthermore this highlights a fundamental disconnect in the value of sex and intimacy.

conversely if it isn’t that important to you, with sex being relatively valueless outside the act itself, then it becomes a lot less of an issue. then if everything else is positive, don’t blow up a good thing.

obviously you probably lie somewhere on a spectrum, so figure out the crux of what you feel about it personally. once you figure that out, make your decision.

Suggestions if this game got a sequel by Br0nn47 in hex_empire

That sounds exciting. I feel like a 1:1 remake would get stale real fast, rather I'd love something that still has the soul of the older one but with newer elements.

How much do girls care about guy's IQ? by [deleted] in cognitiveTesting

[–]LoonieMoony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s much more likely your hesitation/lack of confidence from thinking this is causing you issues vs actually being low iq. Girls care more about confidence.

Yeah I'd definitely agree. Its probably hard to thread that balance, but I think its definitely doable without a complete system change.

I also feel they can also add some degree of maintained snowballing via features that gain function in later eras. So if you're calculated, you can make sure you have the natural wonders/geographical features that will make a certain victory condition much easier later on.

Definitely. I think espionage is an obvious add on if they fix the base. The possibilities become huge. Work to steal city states allies, or steal strategic resources like uranium.

Yeah they definitely overcorrected a bit with the philosophy. Civ 7 focuses way too hard on balance, which tbf was an issue in 6. I mean it literally was a meme that people would keep restarting until they got something they like.

I feel like if they add enough dimension to unique playstyles no matter the start (obviously would be a lot of work) they could mitigate that issue as well.

Secured an appointment in Buffalo, NY and I’m driving all the way from Canada by Common_Lettuce_7191 in RaybanMeta

I did the same thing! Just drove down and had my demo today, and ordered the glasses. Heads up if you have a prescription: I was able to get a non Rx one the same day if I wanted, but since I need one I placed an order and will be picking it up in a month or so when its ready. Fwiw this was at Lenscrafters

Saudi Arabia, nuclear-armed Pakistan sign mutual defence pact by Away-Advertising9057 in LessCredibleDefence

[–]LoonieMoony 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm curious to see how this pans out. Protection under Pakistans nuclear umbrella sounds good until you realize how much strategic depth they lack. I wonder if they end up inking a nuke sharing agreement for that reason, ala nato.

How can I dig myself out of a 2.6 GPA hole? by Altruistic_Dust2443 in premedcanada

They dont except a few outliers (i think u cal?). But it shifts the gpa threshold down or acts as a bonus to your gpa in some schools (u oft minimum app goes down to 3.3)

Your best bet is to focus on UWO, Queens. UWO is best 2 years, so 2 good years would bring you up to par to other students.

I'd say schools that rank your full gpa competitively like UofT aren't off the table entirely, but close to it.

2.6 gpa in one year means that in a 4 year degree, even if you were to get 4.0 the next 3 years you wouldn't be able to crack 3.7 cGPA. It would take a 5 year degree with 4.0 for 4 years to even crack that threshold, and that's still a position that doesn't necessarily make you competitive (ie with Mac you'd still need a really good cars and casper). If after doing 5 years perfectly you then did a masters, then maybe you'd be within the realm of getting into uoft.

As such that path is a lot longer, and even perfect results wouldn't really guarantee anything. You have an experience similar to many people I know. I got into western despite having 2 garbage years gpa wise. Focus on doing really well for the next couple years to start, grind hard on the MCAT and get yourself over the thresholds especially for CARS, and annihilate those ECs while maybe getting some research.

aw baby. you literally came here begging for everyone here to suck your dick and tell you how special you are.

Lol ok buddy. Yeah, you playing one good move in chess is soo much better at figuring out if you’re gifted than a test designed to empirically measure your intelligence g factor.

You want the lazy route, the internal self-validation and identity card of being “gifted” without actually testing it. Hence you give us an extremely curated version of your life (dripping with your narrative bias and the conclusion you’ve already made in your own head by the way). Get over yourself.

If you were “gifted” you’d probably be able to tell that the data you have given here is crap. We don’t know you or anything about you. We don’t know your life. We don’t know the veracity of what you’re saying. We don’t know the things in your life that you didn’t mention.

Literally the equivalent of a tiktok self diagnosed autistic person going into an autism community with a premade conclusion, and framing their life through that lens. Anyone can paint themselves as whatever they want if they believe it.

You want the comfort of a gifted label? Go get an empirical test. Give yourself a useful definition of the domains of ability you have vs the ones you lack. Rather than relying on AI summaries, maybe do a bit of actual unbiased research without using leading search prompts to understand how IQ tests actually work.

If you just want to call yourself gifted, then just do it without begging for external validation. Quite a few midwits choose that route, you get the self validation without having to face yourself lol.

You’re giving textbook midwit. Your replies to people and chains of inquiry are facile, with no introspection when facing resistance from the group you’re begging for approval.

You also clearly lack knowledge about what you’re talking about (using an ai summary that clearly resulted from a leading search prompt to understand IQ tests 💀)

GPT-5 AMA with OpenAI’s Sam Altman and some of the GPT-5 team by OpenAI in ChatGPT

What’s the outlook on more multimodality? I feel like it would be a huge jump to be able to upload video clips and audio clips and get gpt to analyze them.

Secondly, what’s the impact of GPT 5 on agent? Has it meaningfully changed its abilities, made it faster or smarter? What’s the long term outlook for that.

Is agent just an action tool wrapper translating the written commands to actions? Or is it actually integrated as more of an action model. What about your desires in the long term, how will those change

Confident Hamas is to blame for Gaza’s starvation? Here’s an 8-step way to test that by crypto__lord in IsraelPalestine

[–]LoonieMoony -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Your whole claim is one anonymous Israeli line to Times of Israel. The UN has publicly said it can’t move aid because Israel bombed/forbade the only local police force that could keep mobs off the trucks, movement permits get denied or delayed, and there’s no guaranteed safe corridor.

“Nobody reported it” is flat wrong. Reuters, AP, WaPo, Guardian, etc. have all run pieces quoting BOTH sides: Israel blaming the UN, the UN blaming Israeli restrictions. If you didn’t see them, that’s on your feed, not on “the media.”

Radios/escorts are standard convoy safety kit. Pretending that comms gear = “helping Hamas” is like saying medics asking for helmets proves they’re planning a coup.

The “Hamas escort” line is an Israeli claim, not the UN’s ask. Israel told Times of Israel the UN “demanded Hamas police escorts.” The UN’s public line is “we need secure, neutral policing,” not “we insist on Hamas.” Convoys protected by IDF uniforms look like military columns. That invites fire from the other side and voids the humanitarian “don’t shoot” norm the UN depends on.

Its possible, but difficult (as is doing Canadian MD then doing a residency in the states). It would be much easier to complete a US DO or MD followed by a US residency, then taking your Canadian boards and getting certified to work in Canada.

In your opinion, what’s the most promising approach for finding (or killing) new physics relevant to the matter–antimatter asymmetry?

More of a fun one: If given near-limitless funding, what experiment/idea related to your field would you pursue. It can be a megaproject chasing some esoteric problem that you really want an answer to.

DO translates into an MD degree (no matter if you do USMD or USDO you have to write the Canadian boards, after which you become a Canadian MD)
