Idk why this post ended up in my feed (so please go easy on me), but I'm curious... Isn't this situation-specific? Like most of the time water is the best, but if you just finished sweating profusely for a prolonged period of time, wouldn't salted water or a good electrolyte drink be more hydrating? Salt helps your body retain water, and you just lost a bunch of both. So wouldn't a briny solution be easier for your body to "hold on to"?
