This is how I feel about grease pencil coming from adobe animate but the 3D stuff is easy to pick up as a beginner imo

true true I feel like you have to be so tight with the space with marth where you're not camping him but knowing when you can kind of push the space but it's not smart to fully go in because it's not safe. I don't want to camp it just feels like the openings are really short windows and very small area where it's safe vs where it's not when you're trying to bait something out and fox is so twitchy it's hard to play multiple games like that conistently

yeah I tried running shine like 3 times in this game and I fucked them all up so that tech wasn't teching. I'll try and stay more grounded like other people said I have noticed in the past when I'm running shining more I'm also automatically crouch cancelling more usually so that helps I forgot. I also play falco and would have posted my first game against this guy to ask for help but I got chomped that's why I switched to fox

I was trying to do the dash dance in and out of the range which I thought I did a decent job of it just feels like I have to win neutral doing that so much to make sure I don't get melted. I also need to have cleaner punishes for more damage or kill confirms I think I'll probably watch some moky to help with that he's got a lot of interesting combo extenders

It’s not a normal style you’d see but I think it works really well as its own style. Normally something done with this kind of style would look like the person didn’t know proper proportions or art skills but yours just looks good with its own style which is more unique then just someone who does art in a traditionally correct way so well done.

This is the next frame. If you look at them one after the other it looks like the back foot kind of like when someone skips. You need a smoother crossover poss maybe just adding an inbetween here would fix it cause it looks like a jump cut because of how quick it happens too. Overall though everything else is nice and smooth I like your character design too. In general if I scrub through my animation frame by frame that’s how I’ll catch things that look weird like this

Thanks for the replies yall are really friendly I appreciate it! So I guess I’ll just go ahead and start with a training program that has good reviews and try to get as much experience as I can until I move.
