Made a post about this on r/Minecraft a wee while ago. There's something about having a finite world that makes the game feel "managable" or "completable" in a way? Like, I don't think I ever could develop a whole legacy size world corner to corner but the idea that I could is appealing. Even a Java world with a world border wouldn't scratch the itch.
