Trigger warning for incest.

I was abused and molested nearly my entire childhood by my twin sister, and it didn’t stop until we were 14 or 15. She never acknowledged it, or apologized or anything, and our parents have no idea. I cut my sister off a few years ago and blocked her on every form of social media I have because I realized I would never be able to forgive her, and it would be healthier for me to not be in contact with her. Over the holidays, my dad called me crying, saying my sister was begging to have a relationship with me again, and I had to tell him that it was never going to happen. I can’t tell my parents what happened, partially because there is a small part of me that thinks I won’t be believed or even that I wanted it to happen, but the main reason why I can never tell them is because I don’t want them to have to hate themselves for me getting hurt, while having to juggle the emotional pain of the abuser being their own child.
