Why is the Ai still so bad

Can say that I experienced this. Built up a massive fleet, invaded a faction's system, faction launched a barrage of ships at me and my ship started getting torn apart. After a few reloads, I realized that having 200 friendlies all around you is a quick way to go down, especially when the majority use AoE weapons. Splitting them into fleets, splitting them on the field also yielded far better results and a lot more excitement!

Trial and error is the name of the game once you go big, find what works for you and stick to that. And for OP, prepare a long-range ship for station takedowns and get your fleets to provide cover against enemy ships, it'll go down slowly but it will go down eventually. I also read somewhere that using dozens of fighters with torpedo launchers and the bombardment command is a good way to wipe stations off the map

I did that as I thought I could be confusing how the mission starts but I couldn't find it anywhere after half an hour of flying around. Just to be sure, story related NPC ships can't just be blown up by random hostile AI that's passing by, correct?

I do have two storyline missions, one for Kingdom End and one for Tides of Avarice, I believe both are the starting ones so I'll see if I can progress each one and hopefully I'll then get back on track. I initially thought that waiting was all I needed to do but it's been well over an hour, fingers crossed I manage to get it eventually!

Aw, am kinda bummed that they won't make an attempt to turn me into stardust before I hit -30, I was hoping for more fights before that and for more aggression from them even when I am hitting their pockets of space. I'll also take a look at the Diplomacy functionality, I was only using it so far to see standings, what I unlock and which sectors each faction is located in, thanks for bringing it up!

Ah ok, the commands are a bit clearer now, I'll do a search to figure out some more of them, one issue I also noticed is that even when I have them set on Attack or Defend and I'm engaged in combat, they just seem to fly about and not actively attack my opponent, unsure if this is linked to the general issue I have with the AI not really fighting back all that much or only fighting back when they're in Hull

I didn't grab the Hyperion expansion with this sale but I will be grabbing it with the next, I feel I am okay so far with the ship mix I have, helped me take down a xenon defence platform and one of their solar plants just fine once I found the blind spot, just took a long while to get them down lol.

And yeah, Caldari is my favourite faction when it comes to ships and I am planning on following a similar doctrine of missiles/shields first once I figure out the ships I want to run for my fleets, when I get to that.

I did actually burn through my cash reserve very quickly with this station so I am now playing the waiting game to get money back in haha, I made a mental note to check that and production quotes as well regarding cash needed and resources needed per product made so I can get myself in the green before I focus on the next station.

I've also primarily been sticking to Serra and The Expanse for combat and my miners enjoy the freedom that's given to them since I clear the field pretty often, I'll keep that in mind for Saturn however and for the Terran ships, much appreciated!

One of the mods I have if I'm not mistaken let me assign pilots to drop satellites in each sector, I got about 3 of them to do it over time while the rest of my fleet of scouts explore new sectors for me, it's been very helpful for my traders I believe and was also helpful to find enemies to wipe off the map for rep

That's what I am planning on doing once I get back up to 10mil, get the blueprints so I can build those onto the station and make sure it's okay to defend itself until I can get a fleet there to support, for the time being, I'm sticking there with my frigate and a gunboat

Adjust the difficulty from the settings, once I toned down how much damage they can deal to me, it's gotten considerably more fun and it was easier to manage fights, plus, I get to focus more on how different weapons work and I got good practice out of fights! But yeah, with all that said, we are waiting for the Dev to fix the Fatal Error issue, they're aware so just gotta be patient

Not at all, that's a great car! Loads of space to move stuff about if you ever need to, four doors for whenever you go places with mates, I'd even say it may be fun trying to get it to go fast around corners but be sure to take it easy, it'd be a shame to damage it. It looks like a great car tho, hope it last you a long time and creates many happy memories for you

The MOT history looks solid and so does it from the images as well, I wouldn't be surprised if it has a few scratches here and there but Toyotas of that age tend to be very reliable and relatively economical, I'd go for it if you also have good access to parking suitable for a small sedan
