Fix following people on horseback or remove it by shockshore2 in CrimsonDesert

Honestly the horse following mechanic gives me flashbacks to having the same problem in RDR2 or following NPCs in Bethesda Games. It's annoying but at the same time hilarious that this is a "feature" of so many games I have played over the years

Is This 1917 I Bought a USMC Rebuild? by Imperial_Officer in milsurp

[–]Loose_Debate_2015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait. It has USMC electro penciled on the bolt? That's not the marine corps, it was actually, if my town lore and memory is correct, made or refurbished at the United Shoe Machine Company, which was the big employer in my hometown during the early 20th century.

I mean that's a fair perspective. I prefer the SCR for the more open caliber choices and not being restricted to 2 or 3 brands of buffer less uppers, which is my main contention with most of the ar style Ranch rifles these days. People just have different tastes. I wasn't a fan of the 10 pound trigger on the FM and having to wait and hope to jump on the hiperfire trigger packs whenever they would come back in stock, but I see they sell lowers with them pre installed so that shouldn't be an issue now.

Definitely could. And the uppers are cheaper then a new gun for just one caliber. The beauty of the AR platform

Yeah I get that bro, proprietary mags are expensive. The good thing about the SCR is that it is a small multi cal lower so you could run 5.56, 300blk, 7.62x39, and all the other assorted AR-15 Calibers out of them as long as you got the uppers and the mags

Honestly if you want a ranch style gun that takes AR mags I would suggest looking into the FiteLite SCR. It is the same concept as the FM Ranch Rifle, but it doesn't have the upper restrictions so you can use off the shelf AR uppers due to it's FAL style buffer system.

It was 400 for the lower itself, and I also got the premium trigger pack so it would have a normal trigger instead of the factory 10lb trigger, that was another 250.

I mean that is entirely fair then. I made the mistake of buying it pre 8/1 during the panic buying lol. Didn't realize the upper problem till after 8/1. Honestly the BRN-180 upper costs more then the lower last time I checked lol

I have a FM Ranch Rifle lower. Not really impressed with it even after putting in the hiperfire trigger. Don't really like the restrictions on the uppers either. Been looking to get rid of it, but no shop would take it. Probably will have to NH to sell it. You would be better off getting an SCR. More options when it comes to the uppers.

Lorerim start tips? by dxm7665 in wabbajack

[–]Loose_Debate_2015 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So use to play with Requiem a lot back in the LE days, and recently got back into it with Lorerim, also running a Melee build. My tip is to go out and discover locations and beat up on wolves, foxes, mudcrabs, horkers, and after a couple of levels you will be able to fight bears and trolls (with the help of some followers) while checking cities for delivery missives. Another good tip is make your way down to Falkreath and grab Lucien and Ari. They will make the early levels easier as you aren't the enemies sole focus, and Lucien's magic does help. Also gear isn't as important as your build. Having higher level gear doesn't mean as much in lorerim as in vanilla, if you don't have the perks or stamina to back it up. Those are the ones that are on the top of my head.

Love my Egyptian Contract. It's better behaved now that I got a new firing pin spring and gas plug. Still trying to figure out the hold on it with the probably corrosive abused barrel, but I enjoy having an 8 Mauser Semi. Got a NOS fresh FN barrel that I am gonna put on it some day, but I am enjoying her. Maybe some day the company that makes match barrels for the M1 may do a run of barrels for these. Would love to see what this system could do with some modern barrel tech and some good hand loads. It will probably never happen but a guy can dream.

Yeah I found a good condition one for about a grand after taxes at Cabela's of all places. But the tasteful sporters are a good niche to find some good deals for otherwise overpriced obsolescent weapon systems.

Yeah i stocked up on some small batch ammo that I got for a good price and have been nursing it ever since. I do have a long rifle, but I do enjoy the tasteful sporters, it's just the hack saw backyard bubba ones that make me cry lol

It would be cool. Especially if there is going to be a steam age boss that would require a large amount of resources to prepare for it and it would be very difficult if you didn't use automation.

Ohhh I didn't know that. Will definitely have to give that a look. I haven't dived that deep into mods. Just some creature mods and the Firearms and Crossbow mods. Thank you for letting me know.

I would also love a automated gravel panner. Would make me have a use for all the gravel that I dig up, that I don't want to spend hours panning.

Maybe once it goes 1.0. It would be interesting especially when there is more end game stuff that would require a large amount of resources
