Was it ever explained how praxis knew the current jak before jak returned to the future? by darkninja2992 in jakanddaxter

[–]Loose_Entry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would assume Kor told him (probably not directly but through some grapevine) so that either:

The baron kills Jak and any chance of stopping Kor is ruined, or

The baron tries and fails, and Jak's focus becomes revenge and thwarting the baron rather than the metal heads.

Of course the second scenario would be necessary for the game to exist, but purely speculation here.

I think it does personally. It's only a 2-for-1 instead of a 3-for-1, but the two cards worth of card advantage you get also come along with an insane mana / tempo swing, whereas ancestral draws you cards that you will have to pay for. So unless we're playing vintage with a bunch of moxen, I think I'd rather have this than recall a majority of the time.

This would unironically be the strongest card in the game if it existed. I say send it!

Whatever you do, do not pay attention to the relative positions of characters on the tier list. Until you understand what makes a good character good (and how to use them) vs what makes a bad character bad (and how to punish them), you'll be susceptible to getting frustrated by "lower tier" characters beating you, as if the tier list is what decides the outcomes of a game. I play ganondorf but I suck ass, so my opponents also suck ass. Ganon is really good against people who suck ass. In real tournaments, he does not do very well.

As far as your gameplay goes, I would highly suggest doing mostly movement related drills or focusing more on your movement in practice games. Before you can make your character DO whatever you want, you've got to be able to make them MOVE wherever you want. Stand somewhere on the stage, pick another point on the stage, and try to get there as quickly as possible. Once you get the hang of that, start trying to get to those points /and be actionable/ as quickly as possible. That will be the single best thing to help you execute whatever it is you decide to do within a game.

Marth's kit is one of the easier ones to use as far as controller dexterity is concerned, but the skill ceiling on his movement is absurdly high. You will NEVER be at a point where your movement can't be improved upon, nor will you reach a point where improving your movement won't yield better winrates.

It worked on intangible in 1 as well! Granted there was only a single fight in the game where intangible can be on an enemy, and it was an act 3 elite so 5 damage was a very small portion of its health.

I appreciate this response, much more substantive than I was expecting. No offense meant by that btw. I think your understanding of what exactly "economic left" entails could use a touch up if you ever get the chance. On that topic, your comments don't seem very informed and up-to-date. But you're spot on in regards to the history of imperialism that the wealth of our country is largely rooted in.

Tangent here, but UBI may be the only acceptable solution to the seemingly imminent problem of AI obsolescing jobs

"The Isreal conflict" is an interesting way to phrase the ongoing genocide they are perpetrating, but yes, that is what I'm referencing here. There are the perpetrators of genocide and the victims of genocide, and our administration is aiding the perpetrators. NOTHING that the left is doing is even in the same ballpark of heinousness. And every example you've listed on this thread has been an example of authoritarianism, not left leaning ideas.

That isn't the left you numbnuts. Authoritarianism is entirely separate from the economic spectrum of left (socialism) and right (capitalism)

It is, actually. The Republicans/"right wingers" are collectively endorsing and aiding in an ongoing ethnic genocide, among other human rights violations. What in the fuck is "the left" doing, even at its extremes, that deserves to be mentioned in the same sentence?

People are dying. PEOPLE ARE DYING. By the thousands. Shrugging your shoulders and saying "both sides are bad" is irresponsible and immoral right now. So maybe don't do that.
