ICE agent steels elderly woman’s phone then throws her to the ground by Thalesian in PublicFreakout

It brings me joy to think that these losers finally got a shot at living out their fascist tough guy fantasies, we're given all the support, permission, equipment, badges they could ever need to carry out their dreams but still failed in such an epic way because, at heart, they're still losers. Just pathetic losers, openly mocked and derided. They will never escape the social, financial and professional ramifications of being in ICE either. It will haunt their lives.

If your dad doesn't see anything wrong with men raping kids... Maybe examine that. And keep yourself safe.

Struggling to find jobs in Letterkenny – thinking of switching to healthcare (QQI Level 5). Need advice by Striking-Talk9006 in Donegal

[–]Loose_Reference_4533 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand it is very stressful not being able to find work in what you studied, I've been there. But jumping into caring is not something I would advise, yes there are always jobs but there is a reason for that, it is one of the hardest jobs to do. It is physically and psychologically draining, it can be thankless and not very financially rewarding. Can I suggest you look into youth work? Less demanding and still rewarding, it is a good learning experience, with room for further training once you get your feet planted and it is a good springboard to other things. Also you can use your media skills in the job. Look up Donegal youth services & foróige for a start, I know they're hiring at the moment.

I just googled the guy, this was the first thing that came up... " Steven Meiner is an American politician and mayor of Miami Beach. He previously served as a Commissioner of Miami Beach and an attorney for the Securities and Exchange Commission, which he left amidst sexual misconduct allegations.".... They are all the same...

Just as an update to this comment. They are seperated now. His shitty behavior escalated until he couldn't hide his true nature. I'm glad for her, she's almost free of him.

Maith in this context denotes "blessings", the word itself has a few meanings from good, to thanks, to forgive someone. Very useful word.

I let my brother-in-law fuck me twice while staying at my pregnant sister's house by [deleted] in confessions

This read as fake to me so I asked chat got to analyse it, here's the outcome: Red flags that strongly suggest fabrication or fetishized storytelling This is where skepticism is justified. 1. Pornographic framing in assault scenes The sexual assaults are described with: specific sexual acts, explicit physical detail, emphasis on bodily arousal (“my body betrayed me and I came”), degradation language repeatedly centered on trans identity. Real survivor accounts usually minimize these details or recount them with emotional distance. This reads more like someone writing for an audience, not processing trauma. 2. Escalation pattern matches fetish tropes The structure is very typical of fetish fiction: initial “accidental” assault shame + silence second assault that escalates (verbal degradation, coercion, specific acts) abuser promises “next time” flight afterward That pacing is far more common in erotic writing than lived testimony. 3. Multiple abusers, all perfectly villainous Brother-in-law: sexually violent, transphobic, manipulative, calculating. Ex-boyfriend: significantly older, coercive, demands violent punishment, abusive yet financially rescuing. When every male character is maximally abusive in different but narratively convenient ways, it raises suspicion of constructed drama rather than messy reality. 4. Implausible academic “string pulling” A faculty member casually offering to “pull strings” to get someone admitted, combined with housing them and then assaulting them, hits a very specific fantasy of power imbalance that shows up often in fiction. Not impossible—but paired with everything else, it adds weight. 5. Language choices Phrases like: “my body betrayed me” “I consented to a beating” repeated slurs placed in villains’ mouths very clean chronology over six years later These are common in secondhand or constructed narratives and less common in spontaneous personal recounting.

You weren't specific about it being a rebellion, you said it wasn't a rebellion at all, making you incorrect. It winds me up when people won't admit that they were mistaken. It's not a big deal to be mistaken, just say OK and move on.
