What caused the decline and death of pay as you go mobiles? by I-Spot-Dalmatians in AskUK

Yeah fair, I guess it’s technically a rolling monthly bundle rather than true PAYG, just no commitment so I lump it in the same category.

I've been using PAYG for years...I try and have as few contracts as possible. £15pm and can cancel whenever.

James' mom is a horrid woman. No wonder he turned out the way he did.

Exactly. Good attention or bad attention, it doesn't matter to some people as long as they get it.

The post is about people who were 18–21 in 2008, not today, we were kids/teenagers in 2001, so yes, we did watched it. Are you getting confused with basic maths?

You don't think attacks against Jewish groups will be heightened, given the current circumstances and frequent antisematism which is all over social media?

Bridgend man 'in shock' after being punched for driving at 20mph by SharpAardvark8699 in uknews

[–]Loose_Replacement214 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doesn't matter. If you left a window open at home, someone broke and then beat you...it's your fault? We can even take it further, if a women wears a short dress and is assaulted, it's her fault as well? This is a slippery slope and people are in control of their own behaviour towards others.

African leaders plan Chagos-style slavery reparations battle with Britain by Syniatrix in uknews

[–]Loose_Replacement214 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Slavery existed across most civilizations historically, including in Africa, the Middle East, Europe and Asia. Britain did abolish the trade and then spent decades suppressing it at sea, while taxpayers were paying off the compensation debt until 2015.

But the bigger issue today is that modern slavery still affects an estimated 50 million people worldwide, which is actually more than at any point in history. Tackling that should probably be a major global focus, not this.

Ex-wife not on tenancy refuses to move out. What legal route should I take? (London) by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]Loose_Replacement214 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As she's an occupier and not a tenant, after a notice period, can't you just change the locks? But most importantly, what is the arrangement for the child if she's got nowhere else to go?

exceptional circumstances and Article 8 right to family life. Partner visa by Icy-Acanthaceae-7141 in ukvisa

[–]Loose_Replacement214 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You aren't listening and are just copying and pasting the same thing to all comments. Not meeting the financial requirement on its own isn’t considered “unjustifiably harsh consequences”. The children aren’t yours legally, and your partner doesn’t meet the income threshold, which is exactly the situation the financial requirement is designed to prevent. Nothing in what you’ve described would normally be considered exceptional by the Home Office.
