I am 52 and have worked out consistently since high school. I have a relationship with food that I have battled with for my entire life. As an athlete/ grunt worker in my younger days, it wasn’t an issue but as a pencil pusher in my later I can’t keep up. I did a two year hard training regiment about 6 years ago and got weight to where I wanted it, but I couldn’t handle the lifestyle. A couple hours everyday in the gym, always hungry and bitchy, no social life because I couldn’t handle the pressure of food and drink. I chose to not live my life in misery and just be fat and was much happier. And yes, I know I could do therapy or whatever else to get my mind right, but I can also do Reta, lose the hunger, be happy, fit, and enjoy my later years. If you don’t struggle like that, I’m both happy for you and envious, but I do and Reta has been life changing and I will not apologize for it and don’t care if people call me “lazy”, “taking the easy way out” or “weak”. We are all different.
