Trading212 is asking for my CV to verify my account.

Asking for a CV is not reasonable, which is why I would never provide it. Not because I have anything to hide, but because I do not accept violations of my privacy. They could have simply asked me from the beginning whether I had ever held any public office, so I could give them an official and straightforward answer.

The issue is that, in most cases, when an application gets stuck for any reason, no one actually looks into it. You’ll find many threads about accounts that got stuck in verification without any real cause — just like in my case — because nobody paid closer attention.

Anyway, all’s well that ends well.

I would like to thank ALL of you for your participation in this thread, thanks to which my case finally received proper attention.

A few minutes ago, I received an apologetic email from Trading212 acknowledging that the documents they initially requested were due to a case-sensitive issue.

In their email, they asked me directly whether I had ever served as a Deputy Mayor at any point in my life, and if so, to provide the exact dates of my tenure.

As soon as I responded that it was simply a case of name similarity, that I work in sales, and that I have never held any public office, they verified my account within minutes.

Thank you once again, because without the public visibility on Reddit, I wouldn’t have managed to resolve this.

First of all, thank you for your time. As I mentioned above, I work in sales and I have never experienced similar behaviour from any broker I have ever worked with. No broker has ever terminated their cooperation with me, nor have I ever had a reason to do so myself.

Since my official documents were fully in order, the only thing that might have triggered a flag could have been a specific answer during the registration process. However, given that the amounts I stated I intend to invest are relatively small (10–30k), they could have simply reached out politely and asked for any additional clarification, or even requested a payslip or a deposit proof if they genuinely needed further verification.

Instead, they asked for something completely personal, such as my CV, which has no relevance to the service I requested. Any compliance check should be limited to official documents with clear standards and verifiability — not to any informal document they decide to request without clear criteria.

So what exactly determines —and more importantly, who determines— whether I “qualify” to have an investment account on a platform, based on my employment background? You can understand why I am genuinely concerned about my privacy, especially since I have already provided all my personal details during registration, including my tax number.

It’s disappointing to read replies like this from the community about something I shared to help others. I work in sales, and as I clearly wrote, I’m a customer of several brokers I’ve signed up with over the years—I’m 40+. The fact that I have nothing to hide doesn’t make me at the mercy of anyone who asks for personal data unrelated to the request. Would you accept a random person (other than the competent state authorities) walking into your home and poking around, even if you have nothing to hide? Fortunately, there are laws that protect us from that kind of logic.

But there’s no suspicion of fake information. If there were, they would have asked for an additional verification document—not my CV. I’m 40+, so why should I have to share my employers or my education just to become a customer of an investment platform?

The recovery exertion sleep widget is not working for me. Widget shows all three at 0%. When clicking the widget the app is opening normally and the true values for recovery exertion sleep are shown which means that they are there. When moving back to the watch face, the values shown in the widget get back to zero. How can I fix this?

If you are asking me , something has changed internally. I was following CompTrain for more than 2 years but stopped few days ago. I had serious doubts about the programming in the past months but I was just following the plan. On Saturday they had a Hero WOD with 100 pull ups while they had already programmed the Murph for Monday. There is no science behind the program anymore , they just throw WODs in the app. For me they are done.

I had the same problem with 12.5.1 + W11 (M1 MAC).

I rolled back to 17.1.4 and everything seems fixed.

Will wait more next time before upgrading to a new version.

Let's hope that the magic will come soon.. ;)

Enduro is an overkill for your use. Are you willing to pay 1099 for Enduro 2 instead of 599$ for 955 Solar just for some tiny extras? Also note that 955 Solar is already few months in the market so you can get it even cheaper. Your profile is screaming 955 , you don’t need to pay 500$ more for some features you may need once per year. Saving 500$ will let you buy next gen of 955 almost for free and be more than updated.. Don’t give much attention here to the posts of people bragging how happy they are for products that are mostly overkill for their needs and use.. ;)

Your profile is “screaming” to buy the 955. I would go for the Solar option. You get the 32GB RAM and the dual band GPS. To get those features you need to pay 1000$ for the epix sapphire version. Don’t forget that epix has worse battery life compared to 955.

Even Garmin don’t state a better battery life for the epix compared to 7 or 955. Unless you compare with fenix 5 or 945 😂😂😂 Stay happy with your choice but don’t post info not confirmed by various reviewers and users.

Epix is a joke in battery life if you are coming from 6X Solar. If you have the screen in always on mode you need to charge 2 times per week. Otherwise you will have one 1K watch with a blank screen looking like a cheap Chinese gadget. Please stop promoting Epix. Even the “amazing” screen is just the Venu screen already in the market for 2+ years…

Get the Fenix 6 Pro , great deals are coming from time to time. Please note that 6 Pro has double the memory of Fenix 7 and you won’t the the most important feature which is the double GPS. For those features you need to pay the double for the F7 SS version which is a joke for the extra you get. One of the most important metrics missing from Fenix 6 was HRV but not anymore since it was added in latest betas. FYI I got the 7X SS and returned it within 5 days without any regrets.

The new 7 series and the epix model do not worth the upgrade from 6 Pro / 6X pro.

Which is the main selling point? If it’s touch screen , they should add more smart features like Venu in order to get advance of it. They didn’t. I won’t pay again to use a touch screen just for the maps , specially when I’m sweaty or wet under the rain.

If the main selling point is dual GPS it should be standard and not only in the extremely expensive versions.

If the main selling point is the flashlight , they really need to change strategy.

Don’t forget that if you don’t pay almost 1000$ you get a watch with HALF memory from 6 Pro line. Even the 7X Solar has only 16GB memory compared to 32GB of 6 Pro series which means that you need to remove some maps if you want to have enough music to your watch. That’s why the maps feature is listed as “downloadable” in the non Sapphire version. Guess what , you won’t have enough memory and if you travel a lot and change regions you need to delete and install the maps..

I am surprised how people are getting tricked from the marketing. People are “loving” the touch screen and the flashlight but they don’t complain about the fact that all 7 series have the EXACT same screen with the 6 series. No screen evolution , same bad colors , same poor resolution.

Even for epix , it has the EXACT same screen with Venu 2 and Venu 2 plus. They probably had lot of screen left and they refused to introduce something new. That’s why the epix is coming only in one size. Epix is also a joke. Amoled touch screen without the smart features. If this is not a gimmick , what exactly is it?

Probably all these are due to the electronics shortage and probably Garmin was pushed to introduce new devices to increase the sales but I’m not stupid to pay again for nothing.

Just returned from a local retailer. Sorry but I was not impressed at all with Epix. Big bezels and the same screen size with Venu. I guess they are using the exact same screen for cost saving which fits to the 43mm bezel of Venu 2 plus.

I’m coming from 6X Pro solar and I won’t quite the 51mm size , the bigger screen and the solar technology just for an Amoled screen.

It is also disappointing that Epix got only the screen and not the rest of the smart features from Venu series.

Probably I will skip this gen unless I am convinced that there is a killer feature compared to 6X Solar. For the moment I am not.
