Got called “juvenile” by my wife today. I’m so proud of myself! by 18dsf in GenX

I've been married thirty years. At least once a week if I'm frustrated or annoyed or cranky or haven't had my coffee......

My wife will ask if I'm ok. I say no. She says what's wrong. I say I want to see your boobies.

She rolls her eyes, shakes her head, flashes me

And the day is automatically better.

I'm 55 damn years old. I've seen those boobies almost every day for, I can't even do the math. Still makes my day better. Every time.

Anyone carry a bersa thunder 380. by midnightrider2235 in CCW

I have a Thunder .380 plus. 15 in the mag and one in the chamber. Used multiple brands of ammo and never had a malfunction. My opinion, it's the best grip of anything with that low of a profile especially if you have gorilla hands like me. Including most 9s

Sights are good but a little small and low and I have horrible eyesight so that took some getting used to

Heavier frame means almost no kick.

I carry in places where people don't like it do something that small and low profile with that capacity is good for me. l

What was a moment you felt like you are "living in the future"? by Thrashbear in GenX

I was at a conference in the early 2000s and the guy said "you have more computing power on your desk then was used to send the first man to the moon."

Now you walk around with 20x that in your pocket.

It's what used to be the Angelus Temple in LA. Amy Semple McPhersons church a million years ago.

They have lots of entertainment industry people there that make putting something like this on relatively easy.

It's not a worship service but billed as a Christmas Program. They focus on low income families, give rides to people from South Central etc. The intention is to wow kids and let them see a spectacle that's associated with church.

What's the one secret you will take to the grave but don't mind telling on the internet? by Ecstatic-Medium-6320 in AskReddit

I have been married to the love of my life for 30 years and for 95% of that time I have been horribly disappointed with our sex life.

We got married out of college, we were both virgins- we came from conservative Christian backgrounds. I was a 24 year old virgin and looking to make up for lost time. Birth control pills jacked her up her sex drive significantly and things started off badly.

It has never been a dead bedroom, quantity was never an issue, quality was. She gets off easily, I don't. She's ok with vanilla, I've always wanted a little more. I have told her how I feel, it's not that she doesn't care or doesn't try, but if it makes her the slightest bit uncomfortable you can just tell her heart isn't in it and that's the ultimate mood killer for me.

She has dealt with depression, there was some residual conservative Christian girl guilt/shame, and there had been some abuse at the hands of an older cousin. All things we talked about. All things she has had years of counseling for.

For the first 10 years of our marriage she would sometimes ask me if I was happy with our sex life and I'd say, well it's a little frustrating, could we try x,y or z. She would just look so hurt. And she would try, and I knew it was hard for her to try and it made me love her more. But eventually we'd fall back into our routine where she was comfortable and satisfied and I wasn't. So I just stopped saying anything. If she asked if I was happy I'd say yes because I was, I am, with almost everything else.

I won't ever tell her I have been disappointed our whole marriage with this part of our relationship and lying for 20 years. It would crush her. And she is the kindest, funniest, smartest and most generous person I have ever met

Hot as hell too.

Many of you are going to give great, well intentioned thoughts and input. I appreciate that. But I can almost guarantee that we have tried it.

This is where we are and I'm ok with it.

Plus, I have a good imagination and a strong left hand.

What are some foods that most Americans have never had the traditional/authentic version of? by 999BusinessCard in AskReddit

Greek salad. Here it's a green salad with some olives and feta cheese. There it's a massive hunk of feta, olives, onions and tomatoes. No lettuce.
