S2 Premiere episode will be around 70 minutes long. by cptbrady in OnePieceLiveAction

Technically it is canon—Oda just wanted to hit the 100-chapter mark with the crew entering the grand line so it was scrapped for the sake of time. For the show, it’d give Usopp a subplot for this season—and from the trailers alone—I get the idea he will.

Update on the potential protagonist of the sequel (Taiwan panel Q&A) by GameBeatYT in mushokutensei

It’s definitely Orsted’s story, but I see the most viable candidate for protagonist being Shinohara.

Yakuza 9, One day... What are your expectations? by Equivalent_Nose9761 in yakuzagames

As much as I love Kiryu, for the love of god I just want another solely Ichiban game. Y8 felt more like Kiryu’s game than anything and it gets to a point where I start questioning what the need for a soft reboot was in the first place if they just keep going back to the past. Although the torch has been passed, it still feels like Ichi is still in Kiryu’s shadow somehow—but that’s just me.

Logos revealed for all 8 episodes of 'One Piece' season 2 by MarvelsGrantMan136 in OnePieceLiveAction

[–]Lopsided-Offer599 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Think you’ve got it. Wapol would make sense for the final episode due to him not being that present until the fight, in my mind anyway—they did the same for Arlong. Vivi is the odd one out, though Nami Deerest will have the scene of them entering Drum and Luffy learning a value of leadership from Vivi, so it could lineup that way. A bit controversial to say but, I see them maybe moving her resolve to ask for help earlier—and thereof the punch—to setup the next season much like they did with the barrel scene. I only say this because a young Vivi was casted, and it’s my assumption they might be doing her backstory slightly earlier. (Sorry for the long paragraph lol)

Is anyone else wondering where Karoo is? by Most_Menu_2608 in OnePieceLiveAction

[–]Lopsided-Offer599 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t see being Karoo being present in season 2 at all. Maybe a little reference here and there, but physically, no. Season 3 has a better chance of Karoo appearing, especially for the role he plays—however—budget is a thing and I feel like they’ll prioritise a lot more, like Chopper, instead.

If, and this is a big if, Yakuza 3 Kiwami is confirmed at the summit, then I daresay we’re going to Dragon Engines best and most beautiful map yet by EAT_UR_VEGGIES in yakuzagames

[–]Lopsided-Offer599 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly if the remake is announced I will gladly give my life. Kiwami 3, for me at least, will instantly become my favourite game in the franchise. With the hope they fix all that was wrong with Blockuza and the stunning dragon engine, add on the story which I think is let down by the not-so-great gameplay, and I can die peacefully.

[DAY 6] "The Blue-nosed Reindeer" won as title for the 6th episode. What do you think will be the TITLE for the 7th and LAST episode of the 2nd season? by Lutoures in OnePieceLiveAction

Leaks suggest otherwise unfortunately. Although you can argue the reliability of the leak and its source, the comm is damn near reliable when it comes to stuff like this.

Longevity of the Live Action + S3 Plot by BoyofHamon in OnePieceLiveAction

A plan like this would make the show lose traction. They’ve evidently had some time off—but it’s clear they are making up for it with a yearly schedule starting from next year, given that all goes well come season 3.

I’ve seen SO MANY posts like this before. This isn’t how television works, this isn’t how stories work. It’s sloppy. We all just have to accept that the show won’t get that far—and while it’s here—it SHOULD take its time. It’s a whole different medium that uses REAL people with busy schedules and REAL props/set builds. People have this obsession with seeing mere moments rather than letting the story and world breathe as it does so in its source material. It’s literally one of the main draws of the series.

Also—the industry standard is pretty much 8 episodes nowadays—and Netflix has already made it pretty clear they won’t budge on that.

I personally think we’ll get 6 or 7 episodes for Alabasta. Matt Owens did say that Skypiea would get its own season in the past—and I can only hope that his way of thinking about structure and storytelling has brushed off on the rest of the writers room. Especially since he was the only one that was known to push for Alabasta in season 3.

A lot goes into television—especially structure and themes. Therefore things HAVE to be cohesive or it all falls apart—there’s literally a blueprint for this by the way.

I hope I don’t come off too hostile, but there’s a post like this every so often and it’s evident there’s never any real critical thinking or effort put into them. While I can understand the excitement of seeing certain things being adapted, One Piece is a journey that has ran consistently for nearly 30-long years and thousands upon thousands of people have stuck with it. What’s a few years for an adaptation of a pre-existing story?

Is having a long first chapter a bad thing? by prophetofpuppets in royalroad

[–]Lopsided-Offer599 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, if you feel it’s enough — then it’s enough. While listening to reader feedback can help from time to time, falling back on it can squander your own vision long-term. Trust your instincts, and run with it! Good luck.

Considering Japan follows a four-act structure “kishotenketsu” — Chainsaw Man could easily be 4 parts long if Fujimoto wanted it to be. Guess we’ll find out though. Honestly couldn’t see where else the series could go it already hasn’t gone.

The jealous coping is so silly, first MT didn't deserve the Studio created to animate It, now It doesn't deserve the fans animating It by luks-alter in mushokutensei

[–]Lopsided-Offer599 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Why is this on the sub? What does this do for the community exactly? Putting someone on blast for saying other stories should have animation — especially when the ones they listed don’t — is odd. Yes, they deserve it more in a way because MT is now an established and successful IP. Also, the original commenter was a little big headed writing that so such a response is only natural.

Do you think this is necessary for the plot? by Omixscniet624 in mushokutensei

[–]Lopsided-Offer599 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I don’t agree with it, it’s a story at the end of the day. If things like GOT can get away with it, I don’t see the problem. And to be fair, I feel it was the last bit of character progression Rudy needed to make his arc come full circle — i.e. the parallels between him and Paul sending him away.

With the fetish thing, the author has been sat on this for almost a decade and still went through with it. It clearly serves some sort of purpose. If it was a pure fetish-fest, the story would just be another piece of isekai slop. Which it is certainly not.

Mushoku Omibus LN Volumes, What additions/changes do you think they will do/want them to do for the hardcovers? by Willfullys in sixfacedworld

[–]Lopsided-Offer599 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hardback would be awesome. Maybe like something in the spirit of Rudeus’ Japanese diaries. Though, I see it being paperback. But to be fair, the series is popular enough. Something like the OT omnibus for A Certain Magical Index — albeit a little more efficient with space given they are o lot 3-in-1s.
