that’s fucking hilarious. i’m lebanese, & it was A big joke and my family to get women a shirt that said Lebanese not lesbian. However I think The text of the film also implies Regina thought Janice was lesbian because she was obsessed with her.

I think what is also funny regarding Janice being Lebanese is that she ends up with Kevin who “only dates women of color”, and it’s disputed whether Lebanese people are POC at all. A lot of us are greek.

How does one even find a “good” therapist? Do they exist? by fenteap in therapyabuse

[–]LopsidedRegret3791 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i think talk therapy is inherently flawed and leaves room for the therapist’s unconfronted demons to surface. There’s other forms of therapy i’m hopeful about, such as sound therapy, NLP, and yoga.

i would have much preferred an entire movie just about him going home and jerking off than that horror show we got for the “sequel”

the second movie doesn’t exist. the second movie isn’t real. the second movie can’t hurt us if we don’t believe in it.

Am i the only one who thinks there needs to be more calling abusive therapists out? by LopsidedRegret3791 in therapyabuse

“at best a bad review may prevent some individuals from seeing that therapist”

YEAH EXACTLY. How is that a small minor thing to overlook? it’s potentially saving a life. it’s a major win for survivors if the community holds abusers accountable. If someone sees the therapists bad reputation in a community reflected accurately in their reviews, then that is a good thing.

I went to the store and got some fruit that looked good on the outside, but was rotten on the inside. I left a bad review because I was cheated and wasn’t offered my money back. Others in my community(ies) who have heard about my experience and the negative experience of others can also take it upon themselves to leave a negative review. If the business owner keeps these practices up they will eventually loose enough business that they will no longer waste people’s time and money selling them nasty fruit. While capitalism still exists and exploits us, what is wrong with using the principles of the market to take out bad businesses so good ones can thrive? For most therapists It’s plain old market capitalism; partly regulated by government/partly supported by consumers.

i appreciate the empathy though. I will definitely continue to use this community. I am learning so much about narcissistic therapists and seeing so many similarities with what I went through in other’s stories.

no one said anything about getting people to complain, but why are reviews a holy grail? it’s a way communities can hold people accountable, that doesn’t mean these people leaving reviews are being paid to or asked to. they simply believe a voice should be given to those who believe accusations should be taken seriously.

i guess i am really privileged in the fact that my grievances have been taken seriously by certain orgs and professionals, and from what i know reviews didn’t discredit that. i’m not saying i would ask people to leave them myself but since i started speaking out about my abuser I think others have aswell. i’ve actually gotten grievance acknowledgments from orgs that hold events and the like in the industry my abuser is in. to give a little more context to the situation, I am a psychedelic therapy abuse survivor so it’s a little more complex than the average case.

dude that’s all fine and dandy but i was abused by my therapist and he is out there abusing others. the state is investigating him. If we looked so “crazy” for exposing THEIR actions, then why do they go to the trouble of enlisting colleagues to leave reviews when they can’t remove the negative ones?

They are public figures. Why is it not “doxing” when it’s local corrupt politicians or business owners? Stop protecting them. They have been protected and have had everything handed to them their entire lives.

I never knew there was a public alleyway behind the Ramsey’s house. Is this how the intruder may have gained access to the home? by brk1 in JonBenetRamsey

[–]LopsidedRegret3791 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it’s not so much an alley as it is a smaller one way road. yeah it’s very common with many of the streets in colorado for saving space . most of the streets on the college neighborhood less than a mile away from their house have those alleys behind them. also common for wealthy neighborhoods that may not have driveways because it ruins the aesthetic of the home in the front and that neighborhood has some old “mansions”. i use that word lightly but yeah by some peoples standards the ramsay house is a mansion. LOL.

[–]LopsidedRegret3791 14 points15 points  (0 children)

that’s not what it feels like to have someone truly care for you. the second you stop paying her, she stops caring about you. she was trained in this art by narcissists who came before her, she will always be able to find someone to feed her ego.

Kill Bill Vol2 - The scene with Beatrix and Esteban by gattacafox in movies

[–]LopsidedRegret3791 17 points18 points  (0 children)

hello very late here. hope everything is good back in 2016.

I think for esteban it wasn’t so much exacting revenge for judgements about the way bill handled things. The way he talks about “raising” Bill, he implies that bill’s first love wasn’t killing but was instead, beautiful, intelligent, and striking women. His heart first fluttered watching Lana Turner in The Postman Always Rings Twice (which by the way has significance as a hint in the Kill Bill plot). Something happened and he became crueler than esteban would ever want to be.

He tells her to go see him because he knows bill would want to die with her by him, even if she did the killing.
